Solved

So...I want to use VD for wirelessly streaming, but I'm suffering from an issue:My PC connects to wired router(which connects to wired work LAN).I also need to run an APP to log in with my work account so I can access the Internet. And my Quest connects to router's wifi but couldn't log in(Quest doesn't support running the APP). Most of the time, VD says "not on same network".But sometimes, it can connect to my PC.(Usually at 1st hour after multiple trials of connecting and restarting) Is there anyone knowing how to solve this problem?Appreciate.

My quest 2 just auto-updated to the latest Meta Horizon OS level. When started my quest 2, everyhting works fine in the OS interface. After I launch an app, the controller just disappeared. the only button that still working is the button that let me quit the app. So far I have tried Skybox VR and DEO VR, both are the same. Anyone got the same issue? Thanks

It is so blurry that I can barely see nothing not to mention reading the text.

Since you, MetaStoreHelp, are clearly ignoring my post in the Unity VR Developer forum and my direct messages as well, I will ask this here again:I want to use the Room-Setup feature from the Quest 3 in Unity in Mixed Reality.I get an error for importing the transform-data for the gameobjects of the Quest 3-defined room in Unity. All of the walls and room objects are at (0,0,0) with no additional rotation and I get this error:[OVRPlugin] [XRCMD][failure] [XR_ERROR_HANDLE_INVALID]: xrLocateSpace(*(XrSpace*)space, baseSpace, ToXrTime(GetTimeInSeconds()), &spaceLocation), arvr\projects\integrations\OVRPlugin\Src\Util\CompositorOpenXR.cpp:11831 (arvr\projects\integrations\OVRPlugin\Src\Util\CompositorOpenXR.h:302)It seems to be an issue that is unique to my PC, but I can not figure out why and where the issue is.We tried the same scene and multiple other with the room model or the new MR Utility Kit in it, and we don't know what is different in my system. We already tried uninstalling a

I own a Quest 2. I made an account, paired my phone with the code, and it was set. I made another account for a family member, but when they download the app and try to pair their phone on their account, the code does not show up. Any ideas?

My email for GitHub differs from registered for Meta account. In the instructions for UE prerequisites, it is written that one needs to link UE and GitHub account and then the GitHub user will receive access to UE. However, the patched version uses a fork, which is a different repo. How to link GitHub account to Meta account in order to gain access to the fork when GitHub account uses a different email address?

Hello,I’m new to Unity, and I wanted to create something for myself. I’ve managed to understand hand movement and reading out room data from the Meta system, and that’s working fine. So, I began testing the canvas functionality with hand motion, but it’s not working. I think I might have forgotten something. Can anyone check if I’ve implemented the canvas correctly?

Hello, i recently got my quest 3, i love it and am happy i decided to purchase it, however to date my only issue is that my computer or my quest will not recognize each other when connected with a USB C to USB C.i have had success with the same Cable using a USB A adapter on one end and tried to use the cable that came with the quest aswell. The quest will charge off of both ports but will only connect to quest link off of the USB C to USB A. Both ports are running usb 3.0.My computer is a Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gen 8 (Intel) Gaming Desktop, i have a 4080 with a I7-13700KF, the usb ports i’m using are numbered 8&12 on the tech specs that i am sending a link to. It will only connect to quest link off of port 12 but still draws power (i think more) off port 8. I have tried to flip the cable as stated in the original post but no luck, please do inform me of any potential solutions

Hi, I accidentally started to set up a personal metaquest 3 as a work account then realised my mistake. How do I stop/delete this so I can set up as a personal account?

Just got a Quest 3 today, and the box says there is a free batman game.  But after I set up the Quest 3, it is still asking for $49.99.  Any ideas how to get this game?  The 3 month Quest+ redeem did work though...

Hello. I am stuck in the predator simulator near the start of the game (Batman Arkham Shadow). There is a floor vent in the room and it is telling me to press R to move forward to enter the vent. When I do this though, I just walk right over the vent. I have tried restoring my save file and reinstalling the game but it does nothing. I have also started a new campaign but that has not worked either. I do not know what to do anymore but I have really enjoyed the game up to now. I am on Quest 3s by the way if that means anything with this. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

I was sent a referral link to purchase a Quest 2. Then i used the link and it ask me to create my Oculus account etc. When i go to my profile on this site, i could not find the referral credit or a confirmation about receiving the referral, and when i try to use my link again, it said i already used a referral link to this account. Why didn’t I receive the credit?

I’ve been thinking a lot about how incredible it would be if putting on my Quest felt like stepping into my own personalized home in virtual reality—and if friends who don’t have a headset could join in on the fun through their desktops. 1. A True “Home Base” in VR: Building on What We Already HaveRight now, when I turn on my Quest, I land in a visually appealing but mostly static menu environment. While it is functional, it doesn’t really feel like my space. I can launch Netflix or Horizon Worlds from there, but everything still feels disconnected. Imagine if, instead of a generic menu, I started in a fully customizable “house” within Horizon Worlds. From there, I could move from room to room for different activities: Living Room for StreamingThink of it as a cozy spot for Netflix or YouTube, where I can arrange virtual couches, posters, or even snack tables—just like a real living room.Personalization & OwnershipCurrently, we have a static home menu with limited cu

Hi any help would be much appreciated. I have just bought a Meta Quest 3 for my son and was really shocked when random voices came through headset. Yes I was not aware ! How can I turn this off in games : Gorilla Tag being one of them. Or at least turn down the volume completely so we cannot hear them. Surely this is dangerous for users under 18, who could be exposed to any kind of content and a feeding ground and open opportunity for "certain people ( begining with P ) targeting young children and teenagers", or in the same manner be an issue for parents who don't want their kids being exposed to the inner household audio talk of just about ANYONE. Surely there must be a way around this, than to not limit/ restrict decent children's right to play safely. Please help. No other gaming platform forces you to have this.

After the update, the VR went black. When turning it on, it showed the LOGO and a computer chip with a green progress bar. Now it can't be turned on, can't be charged, and the indicator light doesn't come on. All of these are caused by this update. Is it broken? Why is there such a big bug? Can the VR be fixed? I'm asking the technical staff to give me a reply.

In online manual i can see Ray interaction description as described on screenshot below.I want to interact with 3D objects, by pointing finger to them (ray casting)But i cannot find any Blueprint nodes/samples/tuts how to deal with it. (in Unity there is a lot tutorials). How to deal with ray interaction in UE?

Hi, just got my 10 year old a quest 3s for Xmas. I’m trying to put a gift card on his account but he doesn’t have a wallet. I assume this is because it’s a pre teen account. Is there any way I can add the gift card to his account? Cheers in advance.

Hi,Hoping someone can answer my question below as currently frustrated with new device.New Meta Quest 3s is stuck on 'applying software update'. Have tried factory reset on the headset (the headset has not yet registered with the app on my phone so cannot factory reset from my phone).Following factory reset, the headset just goes back into the same applying software update loop but does not progress. Is there a solution to this or do I just return the new headset for a refund?

I have had an oculus rift, the first generation I guess, it broke and now I have recently bought a meta quest 2 and I have had a lot of problems with logging into my meta-account, which I had to create due to Facebook/oculus log in doesn't work. After hours of doing research, restarting my computer, re-installing the oculus app and more, I managed to log in and now I can use my VR headset with the new account. The problem: While using my VR headset, with the meta account, I went into the store and found that I had to purchase a game, that I already had from my other oculus, to play it. I presume that I got to link my old oculus account with my meta to be able to play my game without paying for it again. I can't log into my old oculus account, when I try the "forgot password" link, it doesn't work, it asks me to go to the meta link for "forgot password", which only lets me fix the problem with meta-accounts and not with actual oculus account. On top of that, I am unable to log into ocul

6/11/2024, allowed Meta Link to update on my PC for my Rift CV1.  Everything still works until I get into a game.  Once I enter the game, the Touch controllers are not detected when moving, and in the game they are at ground level and will not move.  The Oculus button still worked, and I could use the controllers to select quit app, but they will not move while in a game.  So far I re-installed Oculus, but did not delete all the hidden files.  I updated my Nvidea drivers to the latest 555.xx version.

Hello guys. I can't find a way to check if an object is grabbed or not,  a boolean that is true if it is grabbed and false if it is not. The attached image is the components that the object that I want that variable to have. I'm using Oculus sdk Integration in Unity 2020.3.10.Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I am following a tutorial on VoiceSDK and facing a NullReferenceException when I am running it. I am running this on Mac and in Unity 6. I am using wit.ai as in the tutorial and haven't changed anything.

When I open my Quest Store on my Quest 2, it says the message above. It started at 10:28 pm.

Hey there,I have a game on AppLab built with Unity that was initially released about a year ago. Recently I've been trying to upload an update with minor fixes using MQDH but all I get is an "Upload Failed" message with the text "The build you were trying to upload has failed. Build Upload Error - an error has occured for app id: 4879[...]".I CAN just sideload the apk via the "Device Manager" tab of MQDH and everything works fine on my Quest 2, which makes me think that the apk itself is okay. Plus, the error is exactly the same when I disconnect from the internet before trying the upload, so my guess is that the apk fails some internal check *before* it is sent to the server, but unfortunately, the error message is not very informative as to where the problem is located. I only remember changing the Minimum API level and the Build Name and Build Code in Unity, everything else is pretty much the same as with the version I uploaded a year ago without problems. I have tried multiple
