Many Meta Quest 3 owners are experiencing the same serious issue after what appears to be a faulty firmware update. The headset starts normally, shows the Meta logo, then displays the down-arrow firmware symbol as if it’s updating. After that, the screen goes completely black and never turns back on. People have already tried every official fix that Meta recommends: Rebooting the headset. Performing a full hard reset using the power and volume buttons. Installing the manual firmware update through the Meta update tool on a computer. Even after completing all of these steps successfully, the headset remains unusable. The issue clearly points to a defective firmware update or a corrupted boot process caused by the update itself, not user error or damage. Some customers have received replacements, while others have been denied support because their device is out of warranty. That inconsistency is unacceptable. A firmware defect that originates from Meta should not depend on warranty sta
Hello! I was mid updating my headset but then it randomly turned off and now it only shows a green LED then after a few seconds it turns off. I googled these symptoms and it says it's bricked and the only way is to fix it with a firehose file. Would any meta employees be willing to give me the Quest 1 firehose so I could unbrick it (I purchased it a while ago and I lost the receipt so I can't get warranty)
When charging my quest 2, it keeps turning on, loading with the meta logo, showing the powering off/shutting down loading screen, then turning off, about 5 to 10 second delay then repeat. This has been happening when I've been charging it for the past few days. If I unplug it, it stops but seems to be dead.
Hi everyone,I’m experiencing multiple issues with my Meta Quest 3 , and I’m wondering if anyone has seen this before. 1. Issue on the Quest headsetThe headset is functioning normally with the primary account, but I’m unable to use any multi-user features. The primary account works correctly.Purchased apps are accessible. The headset is paired with the Meta Horizon app.Software is up to date (v2.6).However:I cannot add a secondary profile.Trying to add a profile results in:Something went wrongThere was a problem sending the invite. Please try again later.I also cannot enable App Sharing. When I try to enable it, I receive:Couldn’t share appsSomething went wrong and we weren’t able to share your apps. Please try again later. 2. Issue in the Meta Horizon appThe primary account is properly connected to the Meta Horizon app.The Devices section correctly shows my Quest 3.The headset serial number is displayed correctly. The headset status appears normal. However, when I open the new Man
Can I somehow skip the setup? The setup was attempted with 4 phones: 2 Android and 2 Apple. It didn’t work with any of the phones. I have also reset the Oculus Quest multiple times and re-downloaded the app, but so far, no fix has worked. I haven't found any answers in the community either.can someone help. Thank you
update May 30, 2024: There have been no updates/improvements to controller tracking since Meta Support marked this as solved! Community consensus seems to be that this issue stems from hardware/software limitations with the controllers, specifically the method of tracking (as a software developer working specifically in the machine learning and computer vision space, I agree that this technology is not particularly robust enough to handle some types of movement). If you play games that require fast hand movements and/or dynamic hand positioning, I would recommend not buying a Quest 3, unfortunately. I've heard some anecdotes regarding improved tracking with the Quest Pro controllers, but the improvements are marginal at best - not worth the additional ~$300 for minimal performance gains IMO. My personal recommendation is to stick to Quest 2. Not to detract from the various improvements that the Quest 3 has brought (e.g., color passthrough w/higher resolution, better hand trac
Hello,I'm experiencing an intermittent network issue with my Quest 3.The headset worked perfectly when I first bought it. About 10 days ago, I started having problems joining multiplayer games. The issue affects both Walkabout Mini Golf and Demeo. The games launch normally, but when I try to join a multiplayer session, I often get the message:"Network error. Please check your connection and try again."What's strange is that my Quest remains connected to Wi-Fi, and everything else works normally:Internet browser works.Netflix works.Meta Store works.Meta Horizon messages and friends list load normally.Thinking it was my router, I replaced my Orange Livebox 5 with a new Livebox 6 (Wi-Fi 6), but the problem remained exactly the same.I also performed a factory reset. The problem disappeared for a while, but came back a few days later. The issue is intermittent: sometimes I can join multiplayer games without any problem, and other times I can't join at all.My Quest 3 is running Meta Hori
As of 3 months ago, i have been unable to update any of my quest games, or install new ones or reinstall the old ones.At this time, i haven't saved enough to upgrade my headset. I am very upset, and have stopped enjoying my quest. I already tried the usual stuff, restarting my headset, etc.I have even gone to lengths, such as waiting 40 minutes on my home menu, doing nothing. Now, this is what I mean by it won't update and stuff. My games always do one of these things, go to 100% then halt or fail, go to 100% or 90% and then skip back to halfway and crash, go to only a few mb and then stop or fail.I am on a quest 2. Is this the problem?Someone please help me out. This is very frustrating.
Here's an odd one. My quest 3 will not connect at all on the charging dock since 2.07. I thought it was just an alignment issue but I've been charging it this way since day one and never had a problem until the latest update. Thankfully I can still charge it through the USB port. The controllers go to sleep too when least expected but a momentary placement in the charging cradle reengages them. Don't need this!
Yesterday my Quest Pro controllers received a software update and after that update, the left controller keeps connecting and disconnecting over and over every five or so seconds. It's basically unusable.
I've had my Oculus Rift cv1 for almost a decade now and it's worked great up until recently. I can put it on, load into a game and play for about 15 to 20 minutes before everything freezes. My computer then pops up a message saying the HDMI lost connection while all my peripheral devices lose power then power back on. I've updated drivers, turned off power management on my USB ports, I even got a new cv1 cable to see if that was the issue but no dice. Has anyone else had this problem? It's frustrating seeing the headset work for a little while before it keeps repeatedly losing HDMI connection.
I don't know why but for some reason I can't launch any games on meta horizon link. It tries opening but then it just closes. I tried reinstalling them, but it didn't work, and I don't know what to do.
Hi i am trying to reset my store pin, i am getting reset link and when i type new pin and click save i have error message at bottom: Link is not working or it was not copied properly
I wasn't sure where to post this as there isn't a feedback section so I hope this is ok.I'm visually disabled, I have a forum of macular degeneration. Unfortunately, it cannot be corrected with the use of corrective lenses.I purchased the Quest 3 in the hopes that it would function as an assistive device, for games too of course. This device has so much potential that I think it could be life altering for many individuals including myself. I know it can be difficult to predict the needs of someone when you cannot experience their reality so I would like to share my experience.Having had some time with the device I have a wish list of things that I think could greatly improve the accessibility of this device and aid people in their daily lives. The ability to zoom in while looking through the headset. Even just a static screen zoom would be a game changer but having an AR zoom where you can open zoomed in windows of various points in space would be amazing. Something like a m
quest 3sI have tried about everything other than a factory reset, really don't want to have to do that AGAIN. What happens when you turn it on, the meta logo comes up, and then it just goes to a black screen.ChatGPT had me try a bunch of stuff.. I tried pressing power + vol down and went to sideloadwent to metas software update tool, it finds my headset, hit connect it comes up saying 2.7 download, i hit download and it says reconnect device, download failed EVERYTIMEearlier after messing with it for an hour it was setting on the sideload screen and it rebooted itself and actually turned on.. played it, turned it off and now it's doing the same thing again. anyone have any ideas?
I’m locked out of my original Meta account because I lost access to the authenticator app used for 2FA. The login page only asks for the 6-digit authenticator code and does not give me a “Try another way” option. I still have access to the email address associated with the account, and my Quest 3 is still associated with the original account. I created a new Meta account only so I could contact support, because I cannot log into my original account. I also tried the Meta support flow, but since I’m logged in with the new account, it says that no devices are associated with this Meta account.
Quest 3 pausing and going to menu during Beat Saber. My thumbs are nowhere near the buttons. It happens randomly during songs and boots me from a match if I'm playing online. It destroys any immersion and kinda ruins the song. Anyone had this issue?
This happened in this afternoon. My son were playing in worlds, and suddenly , the app crushed like usual. And I had to restart my meta quest 3. And bad things happened. My worlds application just totally gone! Vanished in the menu. And I can't even get it back cus the application page of worlds tells "not available". And this app works in my region, I've checked it twice from the meta center. And by now I can still see people are playing on the worlds by checking the follower list. My account is in good condition. No anything bad record. I need help please. My son is suuuuuuuper disappointed right now. Please help me , please.
Hello, I recently tried to perform a factory reset on my Meta Quest 3 headset, but it got stuck in the USB Update Mode (bootloop). When I try to check my device options or look up support for my serial number on the website, I am met with the message: "Support isn't available for this device". This headset was recently purchased as a gift from a major online marketplace retailer, and it came brand new in a sealed box. Could you please check the status of my headset's serial number on your end? I want to make sure the device is not blacklisted, blocked, or flagged as lost/stolen by the supplier. Here is my device information: Model: Meta Quest 3 (512GB)Headset Serial Number: **** Thank you, I look forward to your response. Dear meta team,As i have tried many games on quest 3.but I have played two masterpieces Asgard wrath 1 and 2. I have played many games in ps5 and pc. God of war halo gta etc. but vr gaming experience is awesome. And there is no comparison of normal ps5 gaming with vr gaming. Not only me but whole world like to play Asgard wrath 3. With the story of Norse mythology with Hindu mythology like Mahabharat and Ramayana. But i listen one **bleep**ing news as meta closed Sanzaru game and twisted pixel. I don’t know whose idea is this and why? Literally why?why such bad ideas coming when everyone is liking the masterpiece games of these studios.this is my humble request to meta team, don’t do this. Request to markzukerberg sir don’t ruin the future of vr gamers.

After updating our Meta Quest 3 headsets from Meta Horizon OS v2.6 to v2.7, the Hero Zone Waiting Room immediately closes when launched. The same headsets worked correctly on v2.6 with Hero Zone Launcher v2.25.0 and Games v2.13.2. We confirmed this on a working headset: it entered the Waiting Room normally before the OS update, but stopped working immediately after updating to v2.7. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
