Hello, i've been using my Rift S really often year ago and issues like this were really rare to see.BUT! now when in trying to use my headset it runs fine for 20? 30 minutes? and then it does weird things like reseting himself and whole screen in gogles just flickers and those weird artifacts.I have no idea why, maybe its cause new USB 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps? or maybe its just his last breaths and cable just dies, no idea and i dont want to buy any external powered USBs to find out it doesnt work.Thats whats inside, just flickering and artifacts, sometimes its just flickers and there is "some" artifacts. No idea why, so im here to ask.
hello ! ive just tried to start up an oculus go again after multiple years of not using it, it is connected to my phone, i've done all the set up, and now it's just stuck with this spinning loop waiting for an update. any way i can fix it or try restart the update ? thank you :)
Hi, I’ve noticed only the primary accounts allow developer mode and any other accounts connected to the headset have it disabled as they aren’t allowed access to developer mode regardless of if the primary accounts has it enabled. So I would like to request the function of enabling developer mode for secondary accounts. Thanks
So I last year I bought my meta quest 3 from Walmart. And it was worked for me up until today.I noticed after updating it that it was acting super buggy last month and didn’t think much of it. Until today when I got the screen that my headset is disabled because it was reported missing or stolen. I’m the original owner who got it directly from Walmart. Can you guys help me in fixing this?
hola amigos tengo unas oculus quest 1 y me las researon y ahora no puedo pasar de actualizacion 1 de 2 por fa quien me puede ayudar
I cannot access my Meta account. I changed my phone number and no longer have access to the old 2FA number although it is the only 2FA verification method available despite my new number being on the account too. I don't have recovery codes. I cannot log in to the app or browser. I need 2FA removed. It is not this account but I'd prefer if I can speak to someone (a real human, not an AI bot) and fix this issue.
When using the Rift S in combination with the RTX 4070 Super, colors close to black or white may appear distorted, as shown in the image. This seems to occur more frequently during periods of high display load.I’ve been using this setup for about a year and a half and have gotten used to it, but I’d like to see this fixed if possible. I didn’t experience this issue when using the RX 480. The NVIDIA driver version does not seem to be a factor (I am currently using 552.22, which is considered the stable version for the RTX 40 series).
If you remove the headset while in VR on the Rift S and put it back on after a while, Meta Horizon Link crashes. This issue likely began occurring in versions released over the past few months. It’s quite difficult to reproduce this issue, but you might be able to do so more easily by launching a game that places a heavy load on SteamVR (such as VRChat), turning off your desktop display, playing for a while, removing the headset, and then putting it back on a few minutes later.
The basic ideaMeta should revive and modernize the Oculus PCVR software platform as a standalone Meta VR for PC application and storefront. This would not require Meta to put its games on Steam. Meta could operate its own PC storefront, runtime, account system, and ecosystem while allowing its VR software to run on a much wider range of PCVR hardware. The key principle:Buy Meta VR software from Meta. Use whatever capable VR headset you own. Let the PC do the rendering. How it would workA modern Meta PC application would replace the current legacy Oculus PCVR software and provide:A Meta VR PC storefrontA Meta VR game libraryMeta account integrationPC-native versions of Quest/Meta titles where availableOpenXR/Meta PCVR runtimeWireless PCVR streaming for compatible headsetsCloud saves and cross-platform progressionCross-buy where technically/contractually possibleFor example, a customer could purchase Batman: Arkham Shadow through Meta's PC storefront and run the PC version using:Quest
Title really says it all. My oculus is stuck on the paring your quest screen. My phone says it’s connected but the app is stuck. I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the app and turning on and off Bluetooth so I don’t know what to do.
Ok i have a rift s, that worked fine and dandy perfectly for years. then suddenly after not using it for some time it stopped working.by stopped working i mean:it tracks my movement in games (when using oculusKiller, and sometimes when using the normal Meta Quest Link).only shows a black screen, or loads infinitely(3 dots).what ive done to try and fix it:restart pcreconnect cablesdifferent portspowered usb hubremoving all other connected devicesupdating driverscomplete pc wipe and reset.complete reinstalldowngraded drivers and software (v24, v25, v28 all tested same result)tried oculusKiller (works better but still just shows a black screen, while still tracking movement, and playing audio)using a quest 2 with cable works (but disconnects often randomly)I dont know what is wrong and dont know how to fix whatever this is. I paid for this hardware and suddenly being unable to use it is unacceptableALSO: i am unable to get support because the support thing says: "We couldn't find a d
tep 1. right click on the meta horizon link app and open file location. File needed will most likely be named "Client" under the "oculus-client" folder. Do not click, but keep this window open.Step 2. Press the Windows key and RStep 3. Type in the box shell:startup Now you have both the startup and Oculus-Client folders open.Step 4. Go back to the Oculus window and single-click on "Client" and copy the file (CTRL+C)Step 5. Now paste the file (CTRL+V) into the startup folder you just opened.Step 6. Now go to settings/apps/startup (or search, startup apps) and you should see "Client.exe" app on there and now you can turn it off.Step 7. Test and let me know how it goes :)
Quest 2 randomly freezing during linked play, requiring a total restart of both the app and headset to fix. It happens so often I can no longer play games without constantly worrying about when it's about to freeze. This, is the fourth Oculus headset that has turned into a paperweight, I'm so tired of this. I wanna rant about how awful my experience with Oculus products have been, but man I really just want this headset to work properly. It honestly feels like these products are designed to fail/break, because I haven't bought an Oculus headset that's lasted more than a month. You'd assume I dance around like a monkey and slam the headset and controllers against walls the way these things fall apart so fast, but I promise you I treat these electronics like they're divine relics. Still break. Why not design them in a way where they're sturdy, reliable, easy to use? Why must they all be so finnicky, the stick drift is completely unacceptable. It's like none of these headset
My Meta Quest 3 is correctly linked to my Meta account and appears under “My devices”. However, when I try to contact Meta support for a hardware warranty issue, the support portal says that no devices are associated with my account. When I manually enter the headset serial number, it says “No support service is available for this device.”I need warranty assistance because the headset has two permanently illuminated/stuck pixels visible on black backgrounds and even during the Meta boot screen.I have already performed a hard reboot and the pixels remain in the same locations. The headset was purchased new through Mercado Libre Mexico on July 30, 2026.Could a Meta Support representative please help me open a warranty case manually?
Before you ask yes I have already done the obvious. I formatted my 4.51 TB external hard drive into an NTFS format drive and ran the following command prompt into Windows PowerShell IN ADMINISRATOR MODE:C:\Users\[My username]\Downloads\OculusSetup.exe /drive=DVERBATIM. And yet I am still getting the same error message as displayed below.I will also provide a screenshot of the drive I am attempting to put this on.As you can see, it is formatted properly as an NTFS drive, and has PLENTY of space. My patience has run thin with this blasted app and I just want some help from people who can actually help me out instead of an AI which will only suggest broken code that does nothing. I am at the end of my ropes here. PLEASE if you can, please help me.
Since factory resetting my headset, when I type in my email address to get a link to add a new account, it tells me "Something went wrong. There was a problem sending the invitation. Please try again later." and when I try to install Bigscreen it tells me "Something went wrong. We're having trouble completing your request. Please try again later." I'm on the Meta Quest 2.
Does a morning version of this environment exist in Meta Horizon Worlds, which has the sky being fully blue? I only see a lot of user-created worlds use the environment with the dawn, dusk and night sky. The night sky is where the cities are illuminated and the dawn and dusk skies are where the cities are not illuminated. This is the environment I'm talking about.
My left Touch Pro controller disconnects/reconnects every ~10 seconds after updating to the latest OS, making it unusable — same as several other threads here (1369940, 1259627, 1337529, 1184642). I pulled adb logs from the headset and found the actual cause: - The controller's radio is fine — the Wi-Fi link connects cleanly every cycle (handshake + DHCP ACKed).- Version check passes (otaRequired=0, no update needed).- But GkSync — the headset pushing config to the controller — fails every single cycle. ~10s later a watchdog drops the controller (disconnected detached update-required), then it reconnects and loops forever.- Over 90s: my left controller = 8 GkSync failures / 7 disconnects; right controller, same headset = 0 and 0.- The only hardware difference: broken left is HW revision 0x30, working right is 0x31. Same firmware on both. It's not a dead radio and not reset-fixable — I tried controller factory reset (X+Menu), unpair/re-pair, Wi-Fi reset, and a full headse
Hi team , newbie here . Headset was fine but will now not load first encounters for the grandkids . Game opens and i get to screen that says set boundary , takes me to room and i have options of not now or update , i have tried both but it then takes me back to the opening screen of the game with the only option of set playing area and i go around the same loop . I have gone into settings and deleted data from app , tried to restart game from app on phone , deleted app from headset and re loaded and i keep coming back to same issue ? any help welcome Chris
For some reason First Encounters simply waits with the graphic that it has to scan the room to continue. No other help. To be honest, for a game that is central to the Quest experience, not having any more diagnosis of the problem is REALLY bad marketing.
이 경우 어떤방법으로 구입한 게임을 복원 할 수 있습니까?-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I purchased an Oculus Quest and bought several games. After my account switched to Meta, I launched a game for the first time in a while and logged in, but it shows that I have no purchased games. In this case, how can I restore the games I purchased?
Yeah. I initially bought a Pico. Then 'up-cross' graded to Quest. Lovely headset, just kakk software/enviroment.Suddenly about the end of august could no longer get into VR preview mode. Now get errors when trying to reset developer mode on.Oh lookee here. there was a SW -er-change (!) about the end of August. Can't get an answer, says not supported in your region. (SA)WORKED LAST MONTH.Next hardware upgrade I'm going back to Pico. Im trying to develop innovative VR software not play frkn games or watch Videos or go around in not working what if i reset this circles, but thats all this thing can do right now.... 'Attempting to turn on adb in developer mode.' 'An unexpected error has occurred. Please make sure that your headset is connected to Wi-Fi and updated to latest OS version.'Duh all complied with. Repeatedly cycled. Though why insist on Wireless connection when I have a tip top USB connection seemes a bit retrograde to me. ANd
Hello Horizon OS Dev Team, I want to report a specific, reproducible software calibration bug regarding the battery controller logic in Horizon OS 2.7 Beta (PTC). This issue originally started in v2.6. Previous Behavior (On Older Firmware)Previously, on all older software versions, the headset performed flawlessly. During PC-VR gameplay via an active Link cable, the battery charge was constantly maintained at 100%. If the headset was connected to the PC with a lower battery percentage, it would immediately start charging during the game, regardless of the high graphical and processing load. Current Bug Description (On Firmware v2.6 and v2.7)1. Now, during long PC-VR Link sessions via the active cable, the system forces the Battery Care protection mode, safely discharging the battery from 100% and freezing it at exactly 80%.2. When the session is finished and I select Power Off via the software menu, the OS correctly triggers the standard post-shutdown cooling loop where
My PC is more than capable (RTX 4070 Ti), and when Link works, it runs incredibly well — smooth, stable, and with excellent image quality. So this is definitely not a performance issue on my side. The problem started after the recent Meta Link updates. After playing for a while, the VR stream can suddenly freeze or disconnect completely, while the game continues running perfectly fine on the PC.I’ve tried different settings and troubleshooting steps, and I’m clearly not the only one experiencing this. There are now many users reporting very similar issues with the latest Link version. Please, Meta, take a serious look at this. We shouldn’t have to spend hours troubleshooting our PCs when everything was working perfectly before the update.Hopefully a proper fix is coming soon, because this is becoming really frustrating. 😭
The Meta Horizon Link app installer 'setup.exe' currently checks the C: volume for available storage, when making its initial check prior to beginning the selection process for the install directory. As a result, a full C: drive closes out the installer, regardless of whether other drives are available (D:, for instance).
