I've recently bought a Quest 3 and it works fine in most games, however a couple of them seem to have a constant issue: After about 5-10 minutes of comfortable playing through Airlink the game would suddenly freeze and, upon waking up, the tracking becomes very shaky and extremely sensitive to the smallest of movements. Turning the headset off and on temporarily fixes the problem, but after a few seconds the image freezes again at which point the problem repeats up until the game is restarted. Turning off Asynchronous Spacewarp in the debug tool seemed to have fixed the issue completely in TWD Saints & Sinners, however it is still occuring in Into the Radius regardless if ASW is turned off or not
Hi everyone,My Quest 3 was stuck in a boot loop (Meta logo appearing then disappearing to a grey screen). Support had me use the software repair/update tool via PC, which fixed the boot issue — but now my controllers won't pair with the headset (first step). What I've tried:New batteries, LEDs light up and controllers vibrate normallyMeta + B (right) / Meta + Y (left) held for several seconds — no reaction on the headsetWaited 5+ min on the pairing screen — no items ever appear to selectControllers show as "connected" in the Meta Horizon phone app,I'm currently going back and forth with email support (case #09407530) and it's been slow going. Has anyone seen this exact combo (repair tool fixes boot, then pairing breaks) or knows a fix I haven't tried? Thanks in advance!
Exactly like the title says, I put my Quest 3 in sleep mode after using SteamVR for a while, and the headset's fan is now going constantly and nothing will turn on, despite the headset not being even slightly warm. LED on the side does nothing, hard reboot does nothing, the only response I get is the fan will turn off for just a second after holding the power button for 10-15 seconds and start back up. I already did a factory reset through Horizons as well and nothing else is working. Anyone have a fix?
I do not hear audio from my pc through the headset when i connect via virtual display. The bar at the top with the resolution icon etc does not include the speaker icon nor the settings icon. Though the rest are present. My pc is using windows 11, I uninstalled the link app and got a copy from the website and reinstalled. I hear audio when using air link and usb link but not when using virtual display. I make sure the audio output is set to the oculus virtual audio device. The audio settings in the link app show mic and speaker volume greyed out and at zero. While the 2 options to hear sound from headset and pc and the other are both turned on. I have uninstalled the driver and ran the repair tool from the link app installer to restore it. Nothing has worked so far. Please help
Title.Heard from people that the old User Interface was much better and simpler.Maybe bring it back? The grey bar going from left to right, with a button to see all our apps, a button for settings, etc.
I am officially losing my mind with what Meta has done to the Quest 2. I bought my Quest 2 back in 2023 when it was at its peak. Back then (around the v55-v57 era), the system was amazing. It was fast, well-optimized, and a joy to use. Today, Meta has completely ruined it. The current interface is absolute garbage. The system pointer and that blinding white laser beam are absurdly huge. It scales horribly on the screen and causes massive eye strain after just 20 minutes of basic navigation. Back in the golden era, it was just a tiny, elegant, comfortable dot. I spent my entire afternoon and evening (more than 5 hours straight) acting like an advanced Android developer just to get rid of this giant cursor. I fired up my PC, ran countless ADB commands, used SetEdit to modify system tables, and even extracted an old v47 `VrShell.apk` to see if I could force the old scaling back. But Meta has locked down everything. `SecurityException: Permission Denial` on syste
I have the Meta quest 3, I haven't had it very long and it's having issues. It's not wanting to load games. The main ones it won't load are Pavlov and ghosts of Tabor. Pavlov will load then go black screen and nothing else. Ghost of Tabor will have the sign for it like it's loading but it won't do anything else. I've restarted the headset, I've uninstalled and reinstalled both apps. I've done everything short of factory resetting the headset and it still won't load the games. I really don't want to have to factory reset the headset and lose all my games save data.
So Ive had an old quest 2 for quite awhile now and I wanted to use it again so I factory reseted it so I could start fresh but since I was on what I think was a bugged V81 update, the setup/tutorial completely skips the Wi-Fi part making it impossible to pair with the mobile app. I do not have a PC btw
Quest 3 bricked after firmware update (logo → black screen) — serial number rejected by support system, need human assistanceMy Quest 3 shows the Meta logo on boot, then goes to a permanent black screen. Controllers cannot pair, and it stays black until the battery drains. After repeated forced reboots the power LED sometimes turns pink. This started right after a firmware update — same symptoms as this thread: [Meta Quest 3 Black Screen After Logo and Firmware Arrow]. I have already tried: full recharge, hard reboot (power + volume down), factory reset from the bootloader, and cleaning all sensors with the facial interface removed. Nothing works. When I try to contact support, the system rejects my serial number saying the device is "not eligible for repair," so I cannot even open a ticket through the normal flow. I purchased this device through the official Korean retail channel. Since this is a software-induced failure and not user damage, I'm requesting a device replacement. MetaSt
Had the common “black screen of death issue” for months now, still haven’t found any solution. Issues:Black screen but lit screen after meta logo boot upcontrollers keep buzzingthere are times the screen would display something but goes away after a secondscreen drifting awayhave tried solutions:tried removing the rubber protector from the headset for the proximity sensors - failedtried doing hard reboot 10-30seconds of holding down power button - failedtried factory reset (boot menu shows up, but when you let go of the buttons /volume + and power button/ it disappears so I cant properly do a factory reset)tried cleaning the cameras - failedat this point I really don't know what else to do besides junking it, not really wanting to spend money to repair it. but I would still be open to hear some of your possible solutions, Much thanks❤️
The problem started with half my screen being all black and had a trail effect and now it’s gone all black (it’s kind of lit up though)I can still hear the audio from the headset and when I cast to my oculus quest 2 everything is fine on my phone but on my headset it’s all black and it’s been like that for around 1-3 months please help
I have tried everything i know to resolve this.Soft reset (press power button)Hard reset (press and hold power button longer)Reboot from boot up menu (power + volume)Factory ResetSwitch boot start place (both A and B)Cleaned all sensors (inside and outside)It has been charged and was at around 80% while doing the above. The machine powers on and you see the logo, after the logo disappears there is nothing on screen. There is a sound like it powers on and the controllers will vibrate but not register. If i hit the power button quickly 2x i can get the remotes to register and be visible on screen. If the remotes are visible, when i hold the power button i will get the menu to power down, cancel, or restart. If the remotes are not visible, that screen will not show and the power button has to be held to turn it off. The buttons on the remotes don't do anything outside of allowing selection on the power down screen. Holding any of them does nothing. The volume up and down will show whe

Hi , I've noticed there is a restriction on my meta world . I don't know why , can you please look into it please and let me know , Thanks , Mr Manchipp.
Hi, I need help with a device state issue on my Meta Quest 3 (serial: **********). The headset shows my Meta account as logged in under Settings > Accounts in VR, but the Meta Horizon mobile app cannot pair with it — it always fails with 'Unable to pair headset'. I have already tried: multiple factory resets (both from the boot menu and from my account dashboard online), reinstalling the app, logging out and back in, different phones, different Wi-Fi networks and a mobile hotspot. The device no longer appears in my account's device list on the website, yet the headset itself still shows my account signed in. It seems the device state is out of sync between the headset, the server and the app. Could you please force-clear this device's state from the backend so it can be set up as new? Thank you. While cleaning up the junk closet below the staircase in my house, I came across the box that the CV1 was shipped in. That nice sturdy, black box with rope handle etc. Curious what ya'll did with it, did ya throw it away? keep it for later use when you need to move the Rift? Box for the cat? Ferret home?
My Quest 3 auto-updated to V74 Build 5070966.11190.510 (PTC) on the 31st and it won't charge past 73-74%. At that percentage, the orange charging light starts to flash. This one time I woke up to the quest turned on and in the factory reset menu by itself (the one you get from holding Power + Vol down), with it overheating. In the settings, there are no updates but whenever I restart or shut down the quest, each time it says wait while the Quest is updating for maybe 2s, which is unusual.Things I've already tried:1. Soft/hard reboot. 2. Different cables/chargers.3. Unpairing and repairing the controllers (as suggested by chat support)4. Turning off the Quest and then charging it but the same issue persists #PTC v74 #quest3 #PTC
Hello, since the most recent update on my quest 3, my INIU link cable won't charge the headset with its dedicated usb C port for a charger. It worked just fine around 8 days ago, however, after updatibg my headset multiple times it seems to stop working.
I'm starting this discussion because in my country, Meta doesn't sell their products in stores which is frustrating. I don't think this is possible but, I'm leaving here this request to sell Meta Quests on Portugal, I know we can order in online shops and come to our house, which is already an option. I really understand that selling Meta Quests here is hard and maybe not possible, but I really would buy a Meta Quest here in local stores and it's easier too, since I am thinking of buying a headset to enjoy the product. If expanding the list for more countries isn't possible I understand, it's not the end of the world, I can still buy it online, no problem, but I would really like if it's possible to make it true. I deeply apologize if this is inconvenient, and not so nice to ask for, I understand if bringing Meta Quests to other countries specifically my country, Portugal, can't be done. Well, thank you for reading this and I hope I get an answer from Meta.
Hi,has anyone experienced this message when in pcvr, I’m using a link cable: ‘Your controllers cant be found please pick up to continue or Press the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on your headset at the same time to exit’ it suddenly just started appearing, to get rid of it I have to pick up the controllers, it says to press + and - on volume which is near impossible, and it does nothing anyway.Ive tried repairing the link software, no difference, and resetting the headset and pc etc - no difference, anyone any ideas? Thanks.
I have an issue with the 2 controllers no led no vibration no response fresh batteries
I am writing to follow up on my case #** regarding my bricked Quest 3. To date, I have not received a viable solution. The repeated offer to replace the unit is not a workable option for me, as I am unable to return the device to an official service center due to my location. Therefore, I am reiterating my request: please provide me with a recovery image (ROM) for my Meta Quest 3. My question is simple: what is the difficulty in providing this file? I am technically capable and willing to attempt the recovery process myself. This is the only feasible solution for my situation, as a physical replacement is impossible. The serial number of the device is 2**. I look forward to your prompt and specific response regarding the availability of a recovery image.[edited for privacy - this is a public forum]
Hello, For the past few days, I’ve been having a serious performance issue in VR with my Quest/Meta Link. In VR, I get heavy stuttering and freezes, while the PC works perfectly fine on a regular monitor and games remain smooth. I also completely lose the VR video stream after around 5 to 10 minutes, and sometimes it happens almost immediately after starting VR. When this happens, the VR display/Link connection is lost even though the PC itself continues to work normally. My setup: RTX 4070 TiWindows 11 PCMeta Quest using LinkThe problem only occurs in VR, not on a regular screen. I’ve already performed quite a few tests: Windows system repair/check → everything OKHardware checks → nothing abnormal foundTried different graphics settingsDisconnected a small secondary displayRestarted the PC after disconnecting itTried different VR configurationsThe problem is still there. The strange thing is that everything was working perfectly before. The issue
Hi, My son saved up his pocket money to purchase a Meta Quest Headset, which he got in December 2023. The motherboard has failed, which has been confirmed by a local tech specialist. After very lengthy coms with Meta and going around in circles, Meta will only replace the headset at a cost. It is disappointing that they do not honour and value their customers to offer a longer warranty on such an expensive tech product. It has just left my son disappointed with the product and the company..Chris
Hi Meta Support,My Meta account was recently compromised, and my Quest 3 appears to have been moved to another Meta account without my permission. When I enter the serial number in the support portal, it says support isn’t available for my device and won’t let me proceed.I’m also a paid Meta Verified subscriber and have already tried getting help through Meta Verified support, but I still haven’t been able to resolve this.I still have:The Quest 3 headset and its original box with the serial label. The original Walmart receipt, although the printing has faded so badly that it’s unreadable. My original Quest headset, which is still connected to my original Meta account. It’s frustrating to pay for Meta Verified, reach out for support, and still be unable to recover access to a device I own. The Quest support portal is blocking me before I can explain the situation or provide ownership evidence.Could a Meta Support representative please help me open a case and escalate it for a manual owners
