Solved

I'd like to request an RMA. I was unable to create a support ticket for reasons that I'm not going to explain here because I've already made the same post over and over again. Meta support told me to message them "privately" on this forum site but I don't know how to do that so I'm creating a discussion.  The account that I'm using to create this discussion is the same account that contains my quest 3S. Meta, if you're able to, i'd like it if you could remove the support ticket created around february 2025. I created an RMA request but i never actually returned the product and the ticket is still open, and it's preventing me from creating a new ticket. if you were able to remove that ticket, i would probably be able to create a new one. thank you in advanced.

I have the Oculus Rift S and I purchased it in 2020. I was using last night with no issues at all, and I took a 20-minute break and when I came back to it the screen was black and nothing was working. It recognized the cables were plugged in and it could see that the sensors are working and I would even get the audio from my PC through the rift headset, but when I went to continue setup in VR it is just a black screen. I have uninstalled and re installed the meta quest app several times along with restarting my computer and even updating all drivers and other possible update my computer could have but nothing is fixing it.  When I try and contact customer support it asks me to verify my device using the serial number or email, but when I put either of those in it is unable to find my product, but I have the product in my hand and my original order email. This whole process has been quite frustrating because it stopped working in a blink of an eye and the meta support has been less

I always could just grab the white line and move the taskbar back and out of the way, now I can't grasp it, and it won't lock on and move. All the other windows can be moved, but the taskbar is no longer moveable.

Recently upgraded to i9 (16 Core) and from 1660 ti to 5070 ti. Upgraded the motherboard as well but not the storage. I had the desktop editor downloaded with the old setup. It worked on the previous setup. Now it opens and stays black. I have tested many other software including Blender, Unity, and high end games and they all work perfectly. I have also tried uninstalling the editor along with manually deleting every folder/content that didn't get removed with the uninstall. I then reinstalled, but still get the same black screen. It doesn't act like anything is wrong. It doesn't bottleneck the cpu or gpu. I have tried Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling and changing the graphics performance preferences just for tests with no differences.

I'm trying to texture a few of the new full body outfit.  The dresses.  I used the instructions from the tutorials on youtube.  When I export from substance and then back to meta, the uv maps are different.  See pictures below.  The first image is my uv map after I bring into blender then texture in substance.  Is there some settings I need to change?  I exported as 2048 x 2048Can anyone tell me the solution for this or is there something wrong on your end? Thank you

I recently purchased a Quest 3 and noticed a faint pattern on the screen during. This ended up being what's called "Mura", which is a manufacturing defect in the panels themselves. This should usually be pretty minimal in most units, but I even noticed it during normal passthrough mode and navigating Horizon OS. Assuming that my unit had poorly binned panels, I decided to open an RMA and ship it off in hopes of receiving one with less mura. The RMA was opened on December 22. I dropped it off at a Fedex site that same day. It arrived at the Reconext facility on the 26th. Despite the arrival confirmed by Fedex, it would stay on "Awaiting Arrival" ever since. After hearing anectdotes from other customers, I was under the impression that the replacement would be shipped within 3 days. I understand that the holidays probably affected this, so I sent an email on the 29th to ask if this was expected. I received a response further elaborating that the turnaround period was between 3-5 days afte

HelloI set up the shop gizmo in my world so players can buy perk upgrades (auto-consumed items). My problem is that when I change the price from Meta credits to in-game tokens, it suddenly stops working correctly. I wanted to know if the event triggered is different when buying items with tokens versus Meta credits.Thank you for you help

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding the strap. Can you recommend a comfortable strap? I have a Quest 3 and use it mostly sitting with my head resting on a pillow, or in the simulator with my head resting on the seat.Thanks.

I signed up for early access on my display glasses and neural band and received an update alert that there were new features for handwritten responses and teleprompter. I updated my band and glasses, but I am not able to access handwritten responses in either Messenger or WhatsApp. The options to answer are still just video call, audio message, dictate or photograph. How do I get this working?

So, my quest 3 is locked out, I don’t know the password and can’t access the headset settings. Another problem is that I don’t have cloud backup setup. I don’t want to do a factory reset because a lot of my important data is on there (such as money based in-game purchases and games that cost money) does anyone know a way to solve this problem without me losing my important data?

I have been trying to access my Steam games on my PC but when I click on SteamVR in the Quest 3 headset it just puts up a window that says "Playing" and it just keeps clocking.  I have a i9-12900k with a new RTX5070 and I am using the Meta LINK cable.   I also tried starting non-Steam DCS but it just keeps loading and loading and loading.  I can't even get Starwars Squadrons to  show in my library. Sure would appreciate some help.

Tried to start Men in Black, which it didn't. Then tried to restart. Now all I can do is see the blue Meta Sign which then "starts" to a black display.I can access the Factory reset page, which also includes boot and side upload (do not know what that is, but I had side quest once installed). What can I do?I do not want a factory reset.

So, I was in my car trying to play beat saber demo and I was trying to create a boundary and it didn’t work (obviously). Then my quest just shuts off I tried turning it on and only saw a black screen.

Hey I got an email inviting me to the mhcp discord, my application keeps being denied but I was invited to join. Can anyone help?

Hallo zusammen.

I don't see any messages in my inbox?? Neither older nor new messages are displayed. I'll attach a screenshot....somehow it don't let me put in the picture directly in the post.🙄 Older messages haven't been deleted. I can find them by searching for the sender's name. Then they'll appear and I can open them. Of course, this is no use if I don't know the sender.😅 I cleared my browser cache, plus it's the same on PC and phone. Actually, I don't believe it's an issue on my end, but maybe somebody can confirm that he has the same issue.

When I run Meta Horizon Link on my computer, my internet connection slows down significantly without connecting to the headset. When I try using Air Link on my Meta Quest 3, it only displays the logo and three dots without progressing further. As shown in the screenshot, my network speed is around 900+ Mbps, but once I open Horizon Link, the speed drops drastically, as seen in the second screenshot. Has anyone encounter this?

Is there a reason why a meta employee is an editor on all my worlds? I've never seen this before and i am actually a little concerned about them being added as a editor. If they aren't making any alterations, then they could've just been a tester or not added at all. 🤔

We’ve just purchased a quest 3 for my child for his Birthday, we’ve managed to set him up a child’s account supervised from my account (I won’t ever be using the device but set up my account just so I can manage his), but we can’t seem to cast to a tv/phone so we can watch him play? He asks us questions whilst he is playing, but we can’t help as can’t see what he’s doing, it says in order to cast we need to log in as me on the headset but then he wouldn’t be playing on his own account and wouldn’t be safe. Could you please let me know how we can set up casting from his account? Many thanks 😊

UK account, No AI features, I guess because of government?Where's the Augments?Where's the Codec Avatars? For 3 years this headset's been out, and there's been NO "killer app"... It seems like such a shame, such a waste of an underutilised piece of hardware. The Hyperscape has potential, like if we can all hang out in large photorealistic spaces... but even that is very limited in functionality. Why can't the headset track my bottle of beer and keep it in passthrough whilst I am immersed? Rant over
