Solved

Recently came back to my Oculus Quest after a long period of not using it and did a factory reset after it refused to let me log into my account.  After resetting the device I am unable to clear the setup and therefore can not use my device AT ALL.  I first tried using the Meta Horizon app on my phone.  This got stuck at the health and safety screen and the setup would not progress any longer.  I did some research and saw people recommending to install an older version of the app and clear the setup that way.  I tried installing it on my phone (unsupported for my device), then installed it on my older phone but it wouldn't let me log into the app because the app version isn't supported.  I then tried creating an Oculus Developer account and using the meta horizon developer hub to clear the setup from my laptop.  This got partway through the setup and then got stuck trying to reconnect to the device for multiple hours.  As of now my device is

Ever since I installed V78.1072 on my Quest Pro my screens have started to randomly go fully dark. Sometimes up to a minute at a time for a second of image and then back to black. Can't seem to be able to get something that can reproduce it all the time. Everything that is playing on the headset works as it should. Tracking, sound, mic, face and eye tracking etc still works as it should. At certain times I can play hours without the problem coming up. But today I could barley use my headset for half an hour.I've tried to reboot it a few times without any luck. The sensor seems like it's fine. Have anyone else noticed the same problem?

I have a quest 3s and recently it has started to randomly blackout for a few miliseconds to a second and recentre everytime it happens. It is pretty annoying aspecially when playing beat saber, i got the headset like 2 weeks ago so its pretty new. Does this happen to anyone else or do you know how to fix it?

I followed the instructions about how to add custom hand meshes within the Interaction SDK. So i tried it with the Unreal XR hand meshes, since I have many grab animations and other hand meshes that use its skeleton.Hand and finger tracking is working fine, but there is a strange distortion with the hand mesh. It seem to be caused by skin weighting, but I couldn't find any issue so far. In addition, the Unreal XR hand has the pose of the Oculus hand. Here is the my modified left UnrealXR hand, with the renamed bones and the bones added for finger tips, according to the documentation. If anyone has an idea what is causing that issue or has a solution, please let me know.I've been trying for days to use the UnrealXR hand meshes with finger tracking and I'm about to go crazy.

Hi all, I'm having an issue with the OnPlayerEnterWorld event not firing in my world. Here's my code snippet: import * as hz from 'horizon/core'; class TestScript extends hz.Component<typeof TestScript> { static propsDefinition = {}; start() { console.log("Hello world!") this.connectCodeBlockEvent(this.entity, hz.CodeBlockEvents.OnPlayerEnterWorld, (player : hz.Player) => { console.log("HEY THE PLAYER JOINED THE WORLD!"); }) } } hz.Component.register(TestScript);I can see the "Hello World" String in the console, but I do not see the "HEY THE PLAYER JOINED THE WORLD!" string after I click the "Enter Preview Mode" button in the editor. I attached this TestScript to an empty game object in my world, and I have the script executing in "Default" mode.I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I'd appreciate any advice!

My kid got indefinitely banned from gorilla tag because someone thought she cheated with a mod or hack. Believe me when I say this isn’t true she wouldn’t have the 1st idea how to do this. Can someone help me get the account unbanned?

For a while now if I try and click settings or files in navigator. Absolutely nothing happens. I have to click notifications then settings on left to get into Settings. Not found a way to open Files.Been checking for 2 weeks now for an update that hopefully fixes it.Can't say I've seen this mentioned, but then again, these forums aren't the best.Is there a PTC reddit at all? Not just the usual reddits?

I have been experimenting with the in world shop gizmo with the commerce mechanics. While the World shop itself works fine, I'm confused about the IWPSeller gizmo. When putting the IWPSeller gizmo into my world and configuring it to a single item and setting it as a trigger/button.I get this menu pop-up when triggering the interaction with the IWPSeller:I don't see any options to purchase the single item in-world and it just tells me to load it on a VR headset. Is this intentions? Are we only supposed to use this Gizmo for VR worlds?Note: I am testing this within the Horizon World Desktop editor.

Hello,I recently purchased a used Quest 2, and during the initial setup, I'm required to pair it with the Meta Horizon app. However, when I log into the app and attempt to pair the headset, I receive the following error message:"Relay: Unexpected response payload – check server logs for details."This appears to be a server-side issue on Meta's end.I've tried multiple troubleshooting steps — including using a different smartphone, a different Meta account, and a different internet connection — but nothing has worked so far. To make matters more urgent, I need to confirm the device is functioning properly to the seller within 48 hours.Given that I'm stuck at the pairing screen, how can I verify that the headset is working? Is there any known workaround for this issue, or an estimated timeline for when it might be resolved? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have been using cabled Quest Link successfully on a Windows 10 pc. It's not without its issues, but I manage quite well. I also have Steam installed. In an effort to discover if Steam affects my Meta program (long story), I have installed a second version of Windows 10, on a dual-boot scenario. In other words... both Windows 10 (fully up-to-date), same USB cable, same USB port, same headset, same Quest Link app version. Only program on the new install is Quest Link... which doesn't work! It recognises my pc in the headset, but when I attempt to connect, all I get is the Meta logo, the swirling colours and the infamous 'three dots'. Oh, and a message on my computer saying that "Meta Quest isn't working properly"... thank you for pointing out the obvious! The only difference I can see between the two installs is that I didn't install any of my normal programs (VLC, MS Office, Firefox etc. and of course, Steam).Question: Why won't it work? Short of installing all the other unrelated progr

Hello,There seems to be a new update as of today that broke Custom UI for my world. Another user in the discord also reported similar issue. This seems to happen when the world has many local custom UI with bindings. Some of the bindings stop working and some UI will not load asset or slow to load image asset. And I use Focused Interaction to pan my camera, this becomes laggy with this new issue. Note this issue is not seen with a simple world with a few local UI and bindings. Only ones with many UI local UI with bindings.

Frustrating to see that my stats (Insight and Milestone) have not been updated in about a week. I can see from the leaderboards in my Galactic Treasure Hunt game that I had a lot of visitors recently so would love to see the stats. My understanding is that the stats are supposed to be updated daily with a 2 day delay?

Hi,I am a late in life (60+) user who has just bought a used Meta Quest 3 512Gb over ebay, to get into VR for the first time. To date, all my experiences with VR have been brief ones at expos and other public events, so I am pretty excited to have my own unit. The device is not here yet, but I have already created a meta horizon account.I would really appreciate if someone with experience could kindly guide me on the following please.. and apologise if there is some standard guide already which answers them! If so, can someone maybe kindly point me to it?Thanks in advance!1. What should be my first steps when the unit arrives? Register it to my meta Horizon account I guess, but after that?2. Is there a way to check that all is as it should be, maybe some form of self-test?  Or maybe some well-known "failure" areas that could be why it was sold on in the first place? This is so that if there is anything wrong I can return it within the 30 day period.3. is there a way to know when it

Hi everyone,We’re a large Architecture & Engineering firm working on a project where we’ve built a Baseball field environment in Unreal Engine for a client. They’ll experience it in VR using Meta Quest headsets, and it will also be used for fundraising. Our goal is to provide the client with preloaded Meta Quest headsets that allow them to:👍Turn on the headset👍 Quickly set up the guardian boundary👍 Launch directly into the baseball field experienceWe want to avoid any extra steps, such as:🛑Account setup or login🛑 Horizon popups or other system prompts (besides the guardian setup)Has anyone done something similar? Is there a way to set up the headset in kiosk mode or another streamlined method?Any best practices for a frictionless experience? Are there contacts or resources we should reach out to?Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I need it to scan image targets and recognize certain objects like wooden cubes in mixed reality and overlay virtual objects. Is there any alternative as Meta is taking time. meta, Please release it Fast.......

The documentation for Meta for Work says "Developers can enter your organization key on the Meta Quest Developer Center to verify your invitation and then share private apps to your Admin Center."I've got the org key entered at developer.metacom, but can't find any way to share an app with the org. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Hello,I'm having an issue with the Wander app on my Quest 1. I can no longer load user-generated content (photospheres), although Google Street View still works fine. Interestingly, my favorites—including saved photospheres—are still loading correctly.I read that the app recently received an update, but I don’t see any option to update it on my end. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that didn’t fix the problem. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or does anyone know of a possible solution?

I have been trying to fix a problem that I have with an ad account since last night. I have sent several messages but don't have a response. I have two business pages, My assistant used to run ads on the first page and never reported any issued to me about the ad account. I have been working on the new page, and checked  everything when I was creating an ad account. I went through a good number of meta blueprint courses to make sure, I am doing everything right. I tried running an ad last night and found a problem with it running. when I looking into the ad setting, it set account restrictions. I checked and all previous accounts from my personal and other business page looked ok, when I started digging deeper, It showed account restrictions on two of my ad accounts. However, when I looked into the ad manager for those accounts there were no rejected or restricted notices on any of the ads. however on top of the page, it showed the account restriction

I just had a low battery warning while playing Red Matter 2, but when I checked the status I had 35% remaining. Anyone else notice it? I got a final battery warning at 5% then but there was still 25% remaining. Very strange. I'm getting about 1hr 50 mins from the device while playing RM2 so that's about normal..Just the low battery warning is annoying.

i cant get it to work, ive tried all the tutorials on youtube, and ive enabled voicemeeter mode on virtual desktop streamer but i cant get music playing through my microphone. i dont want to go back to quest link because its so bad, but i really want to get this to work. i got it to work once but there was a really bad echo. ive tried voicemeeter potato and banana, but neither of them work for me. i dont know what im doing wrong.

I'm looking at adding Scripted Avatar NPCs to my worlds. I'm looking at Meta Developers example 1 which should be suffice as I will know the coords the avatars should move. However with the example test script I get the following error:"Failed to call method 'start' on script component instance: Error: Exception encountered running bridge method 'AgentLocomotionMoveToPath': Locomotion is not supported on this entity"Any ideas on how to make this work? I've reported it as a bug to meta via the editor.

Is there a way to have spatial CUI fill the full screen? I had no issue in desktop, but in VR could not get it to fill screen.I tested using width and height above 100%, tried all kinds of sizes, changed scale and was not able to find a way.It is useful to have fullscreen for certain effects, were a box would look odd. I am assuming you can use spatial and attach to head, but not sure, would be odd to have to go that route though.

We are using the Meta Fork of UE, 5.5.1 v74.I've followed through every single piece of online documentation I could find on how to get the PSO cache to work on the Quest 3. Nothing works. No pipeline cache file gets created on device.Has anyone gotten it to work? If so, how? Thanks!Scott

I had a day off today and I spent most of it visiting Horizon Worlds games on my mobile phone. Most of the ones I liked I could see how to develop (well if I was working with a good artist!). One or two seemed to use features unavailable to most creators (video or clothing for example). The Yeet Yourself game seems to do wildly different things with the Worlds engine than anything else I've seen. But my main question is how some worlds did such good work with animated waterfalls/water spray and animated fire. Are there any good tutorials on water and fire?

Anyone else getting a rash with the standard Quest 3 headset - supplied fabric facial interface?Never had this before with Quest Pro, Pico or Index and have no (known) allergies, and have done nothing to make me sweat so it's not that. Has happened after only a few short uses of the headset, on my forehead and under one eye.
