If not when its expected?

Hi. I recieved an original Meta Quest (made in 2020) via secondhand. I updated it to the recent verison before I had to factory reset it. After a factory reset I cannot get past the update part of the beginning steps of setup. It just says "Update 1 of 2 complete. Continue in the Meta Quest app." I know it wants me to watch a safety video but it gets stuck on this part specifically. Ive factory reset it three times now in hopes of getting unstuck but to no avail. After some research I've learned im not the only person with this problem and one of the few ways to get past this issue is by having an iPad for some reason that devices verison of the meta horizon app isnt broken.I dunno what to do, im starting to consider this thing is bricked now and theres no other use for it if Meta refuses to acknowledge a problem thats been going on for over a year.

I want to change the background environment. The software tells me to use a 360 PNG or JPG file. Where can I find some free ones. How do I upload it to my Quest 3? I see where I and change the image. It shows 3 examples, but I'm not sure how to add/upload one that I find.

Yesterday I was playing with my controller just fine not turning off on me but today when I move my arm to fast or just move then the wrong way they disconnect and its only been happening to the left but then the right started doing it and now they just suddenly start working like why are my controllers acting up because they are going to do it again I need solutions

Hi. I'm working with Unreal Engine 5.3 and Meta Quest 3. I'm having the following error message when using a web browser within UE5 and connecting to an HTTP url. ERR_CLEARTEXT_NOT_PERMITTEDDo you know how can I enable the use of cleartext http traffic? Is it somewhere in the MetaXR Plugin or MetaXRPlatform plugin or would it be somewhere in UE5 Settings or do I need to modify some AndroidManifest.xml somewhere?I found that someone asked something related here: https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Quest-Development/Having-issue-with-setting-Cleartext-HTTP-traffic-for-development/m-p/777427/highlight/trueAlso found some info for Android development here:https://www.repeato.app/how-to-resolve-cleartext-http-traffic-not-permitted-error-in-android-8-and-above/ Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My Quest 3 is bricking itself right now..TLDR version: Quest 3 suddenly repeatedly making connect sound, won't connect via Link Cable, and doesn't recharge, all after latest update.Youtube (Short) DemonstrationFull Story:After using my Q3 for PC Link gaming successfully last night (just before bedtime) I simply set the headset down with it still connected to my PC and recharging. I immediately noticed the light flashing on the headset so I put it to my face and saw that it was doing an update. I waited for that to finish, turned it back on just to confirm it was working ok (it was) then turned it off and went to bed.Not long after I fell asleep I was awoken by the Q3 repeatedly playing the connect sound in a rapid continuous loop, which kept going even after turning the headset on. Being late at night I simply turned it off, unplugged the cable and went back to sleep. This morning I've gone to check on it - the noise is still constantly happening once the Link Cable is plugged back in,

This seems like a simple question but I can't find any answers.   I would like to use virtual desktop on the Quest 2 via the link cable (NOT WIFI) just to troubleshoot connections and utilize the neat environment features of the app.  Is this possible?   I play FPS's that are 2D on my quest and using the oculus desktop "button" doesn't provide the nice features of screen sizing and everything else that virtual desktop does (and the games spontaneously crash).  Is there another alternative other than VD or the oculus desktop?  How do I get it not to crash?   Thanks, Bob

I had updated my headset a couple of days ago from v78.1027 to v78.1028 (the 105Mb update) but it still showed my software as being v78.1027, but "up to date". Today I found that my Quest 3 had a new software update available for v78.1030 (also 105Mb). I updated and restarted the headset. It again says it is "up to date" but my software version number is still showing as v78.1027 "updated on 8th July 2025"! I've submitted a bug report via the quick settings menu.

I get a pop up saying "Meta Quest" Wants to Use "meta.com" to Sign in. I click continue, but when I try to log in it using my email, it does nothing. The same Login screen pops up asking for my email and password. It just keeps going in a infinite loop.   I am making a new Meta account and I have never had a Facebook, Instagram, or Oculus account. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm at part that requires me to pair my Quest 2 with the Meta Quest app.

Hey gang - glad to see a great support forum for the Oculus Quest 2 with Unity. I'm migrating an app from open XR to oculus to take advantage of the oculus hand tracking. I'm experiencing issues with the data (or lack of) and wondering if anyone can provide advice. I'm using our existing client/server framework to send data to the server. The data is being sent and received correctly - but the data is strange. The finger data never changes from the skeleton. During testing, I'm only sending the tip of the index finger on the right hand. The outcome is to get the amount of bend of each finger.  The camera transform sends the correct data, and it's working great. We just can't figure out how to get the finger data to know the position of each finger.  void Update() { // send the index finger data OVRPlugin.Skeleton skeleton; if (OVRPlugin.GetSkeleton(OVRPlugin.SkeletonType.HandRight, out skeleton)) foreach (var bone in skel

How do you claim the gift?

I'm trying to contact Meta support, but I just get the message "We couldn’t find a device associated with the verification info provided. Please try again." Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks

I've created two supervised child accounts, I've added both accounts to our one headset (Quest 3).  My account is the admin/parent supervisory account.  When I go to the "switch accounts" interface, I can select either child account.  But once I'm in that child account, I can just click "switch accounts" and become the other child or the admin without any prompt for passcode or any other kind of authentication. This defeats the purpose of enabling parental controls on the child accounts if they can just switch to the admin account at will.  I must be missing something obvious, but I can't figure out how to keep account switching limited for the non-privileged users.  I've enabled the headset passcode, but that's not the same thing.  That just gives access to the headset.  Once any user is admitted to the headset, they can become any of the accounts that are added to that headset including the admin.  I keep reading about some kind of sw

Is the Oculus Link cable that is for Quest and Quest 2 compatible with Quest 3?

WTF is up with these things? I bought a Quest 3 in December 2024. I'm not a heavy user. The most I do is watch the occasional movie or use Supernatural for fitness about three times a week. I've had to RMA the one I originally bought because of the "Unable to find location" error.  They sent me a refurb and, after about two weeks, it went black screen after an update. RMA'd that one and got another. That one was working fine. Until today... I turned it on ready to get some exercise and?... ANOTHER FREAKING BLACK SCREEN!!! Everything was fine two days ago. No weirdness that would signal things about to go wrong. Just dead. Tried factory reset, sideboard update, blah, blah, blah. Still dead! Needless to say, I'm royally pissed off right now. How could Meta sell such a colossal piece of 💩!  I dread what's going to happen when my warranty expires. I feel like this was a huge waste of $500.  And I'm super disappointed. I really like playing games and watching movies in VR. B

I bought hard bullet, but didnt want it anymore so I tried to refund it, but it said I cant even tho i played it for an hour, less than 2 weeks, and havent refunded 5 games in the past 30 days, also i cant seem to find the text to meta agent in the website, PLS HELP!!!!

Since 2022 I've had a quest 2 but now I've been thinking about upgrading to the new xbox vr quest 3s.but now I've been wondering I've the games I've purchased and all my files be saved on the new vr?

I was trying to have ai script generator create a script. Every time it did we never got it to work completely. It kept running into error after error after error. It had to keep retrying. Now, it won't do anything at all. It just says, "Something went wrong. Trying again." a few times and now it just says, "It seems like I can't do generations right now. Please try again later." I have signed out. I have restarted my computer but I still have the same message. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.

SOLVED: I went into the Cloud Backup settings in the headset and selected all apps and forced a manual backup, and hey presto, my library no longer hallucinates that all my apps have an "update available".So I just took a peek in my Quest 3 library today to see if there were any app updates. To my horror, practically ALL my apps (including Meta's apps) have appeared under the "Update available" icon. That is really strange, as I know some of these apps have not had any new updates released yet! I clicked on the download icon for one of the apps, and a message appeared: "something went wrong Unknown (8)". My headset seems to be working fine despite this issue, and my apps and games are currently working. I tried a hard power-off and power-on, but the problem persists.Almost all of my apps (25 of them) suddenly have "available updates" even though they were all up to date a couple of days ago?Updating the apps fails (because I think the Quest 3 is hallucinating that there are updates ava

Hi All,Since I updated arizona sunshine 2 I now get low memory error and it crashes. I noticed during the update that I had to delete some programs because the app has gone from 12.5 gb to 25gb. Was there a high texture pack upgrade? Because it looks like the quest 3 can't handle it.Please advise how to roll back so I can finally finish this awesome game.Awaiting your reply.

So I just bought this headset 4 days ago, when I was playing golf+ the other night it crashed my headset so I shut it down. Next day I come home from work to that USB update mode burnt in my left lens. I also can’t even get into the support page, it says my account isn’t associated with any device which isn’t true but also when I put in my serial number in it says it couldn’t find the device. Can someone please help me if I’m doing something wrong?!

I had a post where I kept a diary of the tracking issues I was hitting with my Quest Pro controllers. It's gone.Where is it?Here's a link to ithttps://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/Quest-Pro-controllers-jumpy-not-tracking-properly-a-diary-of-my/td-p/1211433/

Good Afternoon,Unreal Engine Version: 5.5.4Meta Interaction SDK Version: v77.0.0We're currently trying to create a system to recognise hand poses using the UIsdkHandDigitRecognizer class. We're trying to find documentation about how to use the FIsdkDigitRangeParams struct and what ranges these values work in.We're assuming that it uses a normalized range (e.g. for CalcType::Curl, 0 is a straight finger and 1 is completely curled), but would like some clarification as to how these values are intended to be used.If there are any samples that show an example of the UIsdkHandDigitRecognizerbeing used with the FIsdkDigitRangeParams struct, that would be best.Cheers.

I created 2 rows of chairs, 4 chairs per row. I added an avatarpose to each chair. Tested it. They all worked. It was beautiful. A couple of hours later none of them worked. They are still there and nothing has changed. What could be causing the problem?
