Solved

I am developing an app for Meta Quest 2.When I Build & Run out of Unity, the APK correctly launches on the headset. I am also able to directly download the APK to the device using the Meta Quest Developer Hub (MQDH) and launch it using MQDH's file manager. But once such a development build is on the device, how can I launch it directly on the device, without needing to go through MQDH file manager? The app is listed in MQDH's file manager, but no icon appears in the app library on device.

I am experiencing an issue where body tracking fails to start when running the Movement SDK Retargeting Sample or using the OVRCameraRig in a separate scene (like in Valems tutorial). So basically i can move and look around, but the character stays in place in its standard sitting down or T pose position. The error message displayed in Unity is: [OVRBody] Failed to start body tracking with joint set FullBody.Setup Details OS: Windows 10Unity Version: 6.000.0.41fHeadset: Meta Quest 3 (dev mode, connected via Link and all movement tracking settings turned on).Project Template: Unity 3D CoreI tested in two plugin management setups :Setup 1 Meta XR All-in-One SDK: 74.0.0OpenXR Plugin: 1.14.1Unity OpenXR Meta:2.1.0Meta Movement v72.0.0Setup 2 (same as in Valems tutorial)Meta XR All-in-One SDK: 71.0.0Oculus Plug in Meta Movement v71.0.1 In both the Meta Project Setup Tool reports XR readiness for both Android & Standalone. Not really sure what is happening, all of my scripts are gone from my scripts tab. I cant access them in build mode on the VR nor the desktop editor.

Seems to be a common issue. I've tried a lot of the fixes I've found on the forum but nothing has worked. What do I do?

Hi,I have an FBX model (just a simple plane) to which I’ve assigned vertex colors in 3ds Max using Assign Vertex Colors > Lighting Only. The colors are visible in both 3ds Max (using Object Properties > Vertex Colors) and Blender (in Vertex Paint mode), but they have no effect in Horizon Worlds. I assumed Horizon Worlds would use vertex colors for shadows and lighting as stated in the documentation: “Horizon’s lighting solution (RTK) uses vertex colors to add lighting information to the scene.”Could you please guide me on how to use them for shadows and lighting?Setting for creating vertex colors based on lighting in 3ds MaxViewing vertex colors in 3ds MaxViewing vertex colors in blenderImporting the model to Horizon Worlds Desktop Editor

What determines grip points in custom meshes? For example, if I make FBX models of a gun or a cup, bring it to Horizon World Desktop Editor, how do I make sure that when user grabs, the object ends up being held exactly how I need it to be held?I am also wondering whether it's possible to set a pose on the grabbing hand, for hand to align with the object being grabbed.

I am wondering if two-handed gripping of an object supported in Horizon Worlds (holding a large axe or big weapon or pulling large object with both hands grabbing it, etc.)

hi im having an issue when trying to download asgards wrath 2, im on q3, every time i try to download the game, the download stops and the asgards wrath icon goes back to install, i normally get between 100-600mb when it does this, the highest download i have got to is 18gb, i have restarted the quest and done a factory reset, there is plenty of space and i have tried different wifi networks. i can download and install other games just not this 1.

I just got rid of the pilot chairs in my Starship game because attempting to get out of them would sometimes randomly teleport the player several metres above the starship. Is there a known bug with leaving chairs in the Avatar Pose gizmo in Horizon Worlds?

Hello Meta Support Team,I own a Ray-Ban Stories model RW4002 (slide-switch, purchased overseas). It pairs via Bluetooth (white LED blinking), but the Meta View app never recognizes it — I can’t advance past pairing.Meta Japan and Ray-Ban Japan both said it’s unsupported. Since it’s the slide-switch model, I cannot perform a factory reset. I’m unable to proceed beyond the pairing prompt. Can someone from Meta support please contact me via direct message (DM) to help with remote unlinking or resetting?Thank you!

Final update: I had to factory reset my headset to get my controllers to track properly again. Unfortunately the headset OS updated and now the game I play, Breachers, crashes on startup on my Quest 2. That's me done with VR.Trying to play some Breachers today, as is normal I have to restart my headset 5 or 6 times to get the Quest Pro controllers to track correctly with my Quest 2 headset, sometimes they stay in a static position and this seems to reset the connection to get it to work. However today is especially worse, they randomly move their tracking positions about 4 inches every few seconds and then move back again, as you can imagine, if you're trying to aim a gun in VR it makes it pretty much impossible. After about 45 minutes of repairing, restarting and restarting the headset I've given up and come to the forums to complain. It's so frustrating when you want to pick up your headset and play a game for 30 minutes but you have to fiddle around first, this time it was completely

What exactly do I do for these? I'm trying to get into the VR Development scene but I'm having a bit of trouble. IARC:It says I need a IARC email, do I need to create one or do I need to get someone elses?\ Privacy Policy:Do I need to create a website for it or not?

Hello Meta, I always Wanted To know The version of the quest 1 version Of Gorilla TagSo if you know can you Inform me?Thanks!

Hi All, A couple of days ago my Quest 3 VR headset started playing up. It was plugged in and charging but it’s now refusing to charge or turn on and gives me a blinking red light. I don’t know what it indicates or how to fix it. I charge it through my PC.

Hello, I can't pair the goggles with the app. I press pairing and nothing works in the phone app and I can't do anything in the goggles because it's waiting for pairing or using the code. Thanks for the help.

I have several people on my friends list, but none of them has Invite button. Horizon Worlds seems to be different than Meta Quest Developer's Hub where I can just invite via email. How do I invite people to test my world if I don't have an Invite button in any of my friends' profiles?!

I just recently got a Quest 3 and first week everything was working fine. But now since a few days ago when I redeem a game on Horizon + it says "Redeemed" but isn't appearing in my library for me to download it

On Facebook platform dashboard has been add the payment information( not sync to meta horizon platform, WHY?). I've tried uploading files more than ten times. Each time it proceeds to upload W-8BEN-E-file, it loads infinitely and sees #45285 error from the console. Throw the error code #45285 , I dont know why. Hello,Unsure this is the correct forum to ask this question, it seems you can only have access to one at a time which is a bit silly but any ways. I've just downloaded the sample "rooftop racers" world and I'm looking at the the double jump logic. I see the relevant logic inside PlayerLocalController script that actually implements the double jump. I think I understand the toggle stuff between player and server running. However what is confusing me is in the world there are 8 objects configured with the script attached. Setup like you have to attach the object/script to the player when they enter the game. Is this truthful and where can I find that logic which attaches the player to the object?

Hi,I'm looking at the keyboard shortcuts for 'Preview mode'.With the quest you have controllers so you have more options than just jump, grab and release. Is it possible to manually map a key. Is this documented anywhere?
