Solved

Hi, I'm using Meta's XR Interaction SDK v66 in Unity and have a situation where I have a Grab Interaction 'pulling' a Build Icon in a Build Menu to initiate the building of the corresponding object in the game world at the point of the Grab Interaction.  So I'd like to programmatically cancel the Grab Interaction on the Build Icon, instantiate a 'real-world' version of that object, and programmatically begin the Grab Interaction on this new object, letting the Player place the built object wherever they would like.  So effectively I want to transfer the Grab from the Icon object to the newly instantiated object. The documentation for interacting with controllers and hands is great but I haven't been able to find much around initiating interactions exclusively with code. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! InfiniteEcho

Users. is not firing the callback in a build. When we run the game in the Unity Editor, everything works as expected. The editor uses the AppId of the Rift version of the app while the build is running on the headset directly and using the AppID of the Quest version of the app.- Data Use Checkup is all good and everything is allowed for the app (Quest App). - We are using Users.GetLoggedInUser() just fine in the build to get the user's username.- All the user's friends have launched the game and are also in the app.Why is the callback not being fired in a build? Any help is appreciated.Below is the code for the function I am calling. "HERE GetLoggedInUserFriends" is printed but none of the other logs are printed which means the callback is never fired.  public void GetLoggedInUserFriends(Action<List<User>> onSuccess, Action<Error> onError = null) { Debug.Log("HERE GetLoggedInUserFriends"); Users.GetLoggedInUserFriends().OnComplete(msg => {

So I have my belt testing at my local martial arts school about to go onto green belt hooray but my back hurts and I want to play beat saber and pass my belt testing and my back feels super painful so any tips?

So I purchased my first quest 3 headset 512GB, and absolutely love it.  I have also purchased several apps from the meta store and they reside on my headset.  I just recently purchased another headset for my wife so that we can play the games that I purchased together.  My question is, how do I copy those games over to the new headset that my wife is going to use?  Right now I am the admin on my headset and I added her as a user on my headset so that we share until her's comes in.  Do we setup the new headset under my account, or a new account under her name?  Thank you in advance for your help.   Mark

I had to go with meta, and now I can’t pair my headset to the met account, the Mets account gives me four code boxes and when I look into the head set to get the codes, the headset gives me   A 8 code number, I’m at my wits end!a,

We are unable to link a bank account to our Developer dashboard. At first it was asking for bank info but never worked.  Now it doesn't even ask for any bank info, it just fails.  Tried setting a new account which does the same thing.  Clicking the "Get payout support" goes to a dead link.We need to add payout information before we can setup IAP assets, etc.  We are in Canada if that makes a difference.

Hi,I am trying to build a cross platform project for both Meta Quest and MagicLeap. Thing is, my app works perfectly on Meta Quest 3 before trying to add magicleap package. But as soon as I add the com.magicleap.unitysdk package, without changing anything to the scene, player settings, or manifest, the app crashes on startup (right after passthrough loads up) with the following logs : Spoiler (Highlight to read)0001/01/01 00:00:00.000 -1 -1 Info --------- beginning of crash2024/07/05 11:03:02.313 20896 20948 Fatal libc Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV), code 1 (SEGV_MAPERR), fault addr 0x1 in tid 20948 (Thread-2), pid 20896 (////////)2024/07/05 11:03:02.619 20896 20948 Error CRASH *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***2024/07/05 11:03:02.619 20896 20948 Error CRASH Version '2022.3.12f1 (4fe6e059c7ef)', Build type 'Release', Scripting Backend 'il2cpp', CPU 'arm64-v8a'2024/07/05 11:03:02.619 20896 20948 Error CRASH Build fingerprint: 'oculus/eureka/eureka:12/SQ

Hi! I'm developing a multiplayer application for Meta Quest that uses Epic Online Services (EOS). The users are supposed to login using DeviceID. This login method used to work perfectly when I submitted the app to the Alpha Channel of AppLab. Since a few months, the same application in AppLab is not able to login using this method anymore. The login fails silently and doesn't provide any error message. But when I install the application locally on my Quest, without submitting to AppLab, the login works fine. So, I suppose that there is something different or new in AppLab regarding this login method. Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong or how to solve the problem?

https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/meta-xr-core-sdk/ "66.0 - Release Notes What's New Boundary API The Boundary API enables developers to suppress the boundary visibility, allowing users to go beyond the Guardian Boundary. The feature is closely related to Passthrough: The boundary visibility can only be suppressed when a Passthrough layer is rendered."   The official API docs only refer to v65. Has anyone managed to do this? If you have, would you be so kind as to tell me how please? I'm trying this private OVRManager ovrManager; ovrManager = FindObjectOfType<OVRManager>(); ovrManager.shouldBoundaryVisibilityBeSuppressed = true; but the boundary still appears.

Hey!I see that there are building blocks available to support a passthrough window in your virtual world. I wonder if anyone was able to make the opposite, a window to see the virtual world in passthrough. Thanks!

On my front screen when I put my headset on on it asks me to go to the meta site via mobile or PC and enter a code when prompted. I have done just that and there is nowhere to put in the code so I'm unable to use any of my apps. What am I missing?

How do I trigger a sound when I grab something?Things I have tried:* Interactable Unity Event Wrapper to be triggered when Grab Interactable gets selected.

using: Unity 2022.3 and Meta XR 66.0.0Can't seem to edit fingers for a hand grab intractable on the Mac anymore. Does anyone have a solution?I have also posted the question over on unity forum.  No reply so far.

Hello Meta Community,I recently downloaded the Unreal-SharedAnchorsSample repository and opened the project in Unreal Engine 5.3.2. While the project compiles without errors, I encountered an issue with the BP_SpatialAnchorManagerComponent.Specifically, the BP_VRPawn.uasset and BP_LobbyPawn.uasset are present in the file explorer directory, but they do not appear in the Unreal Engine editor. This is causing the BP_SpatialAnchorManagerComponent to fail to load correctly. Here are the steps I have taken so far:Verified that the .uasset files are in the correct Content directory.Tried refreshing the Content Browser and fixing up redirectors.Checked file permissions to ensure the assets are not read-only.Looked for any errors in the Output Log related to asset loading, but found none.Despite these efforts, the assets still do not appear in the editor.Attached are screenshots of the error messages and my current setup: Blueprint Error in BP_SpatialAnchorManagerComponent:Could anyone ple

Hi Folks😀 Could you help me with directions?   I'm using PCVR with metaquest 2 on a build of unreal 5.3.2. I'm testing Nanite and Lumen. (I started with this one, because of the possibilities of being lighter in VR). I have a Win10, RTX3060, 64 memory, I7.   On the PC screen everything is beautiful, but inside, in Metaquest 2, I have these glitches when teleporting and any movement causes a lot of distortion. Even with AA turned off (I searched the forum and they talked about AA)   Any suggestions as to what might be happening? I wanted direction. Is this an Unreal error? From Metaquest or Windows? Hardware?   Thanks!🤓

The documentation (Docs Link) says:Using Mixed Reality Utility Kit, the function MRUKRoom.IsPositionInRoom(Vector3 pos) can be used to check whether the camera rig pose is present in the loaded scene or not. If it is not, offer users to capture a new scene. How can I create a new room with MRUK?

Hi I want to use Cloud Storage 2 for my Oculus Quest 2 Unity game.  I have read https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/ps-cloud-storage/?locale=en_GB but I can't figure out how to use Platform.CloudStorage2.GetUserDirectoryPath()   I want to get a string which is the path of the directory for me to save my game data into for it to be Cloud Sync'ed, but GetUserDirectoryPath() returns a "Request<string>" and I don't know how to get the string from that.   Please could anyone help?   Thanks

Hi,I am currently implementing leaderboards (in a Unity project). When displaying all data, I can use the "GetEntriesAfterRank" function to allow the user to 'page up' and 'page down' through the scores. However, when displaying "Friends only" there does not appear to be an equivalent function. In my game, I have a "go to top", "page up", page down" and "go to bottom" button. I am not sure how to implement this functionality with the available functions. How have other devs handled this?It seems to me that the "GetEntries" function should allow a specific "StartAt" position. Is there a limit to how many friends a player can have? I am guessing that I just have to request all friends and then just handle it myself? Thanks,

I am developing an Oculus Quest app for release on the App Lab. Previously, I was able to get the player's user name just fine via Oculus.Platform.Users.GetLoggedInUser().OnComplete(getLoggedInUserComplete); but recently that stopped working and now the user name is just an empty/null string. Essentially, I can't display a user name above players' heads anymore. Below is the code I am using to retrieve the user name: void getLoggedInUserComplete(Message msg) { if (msg.IsError) { Debug.LogError("Could not get Oculus user name!"); } else { Debug.Log("GetLoggedInUser success! " + msg + "; message type: " + msg.Type); if (msg.Type == Message.MessageType.User_GetLoggedInUser) { Debug.Log("Oculus GetLoggedInUser success! Setting user name in game manager: " + msg.GetUser().OculusID); GameManager.Instanc

I just bought new Meta quest 3, and on the first time while going through normal activation process after I connected it to a WiFi it started to apply software update.  It does that for a short while , saying " applying software update" and then restarting.  After it boots up, it just goes back to the exact same phase, "applying software update" and restarting, again and again in an infinite loop. I've tried connecting it to a charger, factory resetting it, and connecting to different wifi network, living it alone for hours in that loop. Nothing seems to be helping...  What can I do to go past that update process? Or updating in some other way? Because as of now my device is absolutely unusable.

I am new to Quest development and have no prior experience with the now deprecated SDKs.  I am rapid prototyping a simple training concept demo using Meta's new all-in-one SDK.  Overall, it seems pretty good.  I was able to get passthrough, teleporting, and player movement working pretty easily and happy with the results.  But I still have not been able to get a simple left wrist floating UI menu button highlight/press interaction to work with the controller and pointer/lasers in worldspace, similar to how the standard UI canvas buttons work with a mouse in flat screen apps. All the building block examples seem to demo only hand interactions.  I've pulled in the Unity samples from Git and can test those via link but cannot seem to reproduce them on my own custom menu tests due to confusion between the old methods and the changes in the new SDK.  It seems from researching and comparing the older docs and tuts that Meta renamed a lot of stuff and r
