Hello,I have a second-hand Meta Quest 2 that I cannot complete the initial setup with after a factory reset. The headset boots normally and displays the 5-digit pairing code, but pairing fails in the Meta Horizon app.I have tested this on:- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra- iPhone- Windows 11 PC- Different Bluetooth/Wi-Fi attemptsThe headset itself appears to be working correctly at recovery level.Device Info shows:- Serial number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx- Model revision: Monterey (PVT Revision B SDC)- Boot slot: B- Secure Boot: Yes- Lock state: Locked- Build variant: User- RAM: 4068 MBADB also detects the same device correctly in Sideload Update mode:"xxxxxxxxxxxxxx sideload"However, I have two unusual problems:1. The official Meta Quest Software Update Tool detects the headset over USB, but then displays:“Your device is not supported.”2. When I try to verify the headset serial number on the Meta Support website, I get:“No product found. Check the info that you've entered and try again.”My Meta account
I watched the Coldplay immersive concert on Meta Quest and found the experience extraordinary. I would love to see more live music events like this on Quest, possibly with a dedicated catalog or subscription plan. For people who can't travel often or spend a lot to attend concerts in person, this kind of immersive experience is incredibly valuable.
After loging in, the online games do not load properly and servers seam to be down when trying to connect.

This is solely a Link issue. All of the "fixes" and workarounds I have read on Reddit and here have resulted in nothing working, I'm past caring now, for a few weeks the link software was working perfectly last month until an update pushed something that broke it entirely, not only that but ASW can't even be disabled anymore through the debug menu as it just re-enables itself every time I reboot link or start up a game through steam using the Link's XR runtime, so I can't play VR games through PCVR/Link.What I have tried that didn't work:1. Using the debug menu to forcefully disable ASW, just re-enables itself in the dash area and it's very clear that it's happening because my very smooth motions and my frames per second drop to a very stuttered 45.2. Using the keyboard control Ctrl-NUM1 does nothing as ASW just re-enables itself immediately after which is visible in the dash world.3 Reverting NVIDIA drivers to version 591.XX and lower, this did nothing as the drivers have nothing to do
TV App seems to be broken on Quest Pro when launching 180* immersive experiences. Headset just sits or dims to black after clicking Play.Clicking Menu opens Navigator but I can't quit the TV app. If I click Menu again to close Navigator the experience loads up super choppy and I can't summon the play controls or quit out of it.Clicking A or trigger loads up a pink panel that reads "This can’t be accessed on your android-3 at this time. Try on your phone instead." I couldn't get a screen cap of that because it seems Meta is putting this content on a layer that the Camera can't capture, in neither still nor recording mode. The 3D Iheartradio (Zara Larson) videos load up fine, but the 180* immersive stuff (Goo Goo Dolls, Sabrina Carpenter, Tiesto, etc) cause the app to freak out.Anyone else having this experience?
For a while, my quest 2 has been freezing when linked to my pc, while my pc shows that everything is working, with the game running, the movement tracking working, and I can still hear audio. I have seen other posts similar to my issue, but they all are unhelpful.I have had this issue ever since I got my headset, but not as bad as it is now. After I fixed my issue of my headset not updating and updated it to v206 from v81.xyz (I don't remember the exact number), my link cable stopped working, as my headset thinks it's a charging only cable. The cable is USB 3.0, and it worked perfectly before the update. Thankfully, my wifi is stable enough to use air link. Even though air link works, my headset screen freezes every few minutes. My meta horizon link thinks that my headset is still connected, even after I quit it from my quest. I have attempted to use the "restart meta horizon link," but the button does nothing. I can still use the app, and trying again doesn't work. I have to go to task
My son who recently got a Meta quest almost exclusively for gorilla tag was very excited to find out about the new fan club subscription plan. Yet there is no way to purchase the subscription for him or gift it to him after speaking to several Meta employees. It makes no sense that I could monitor his account, purchased things for him, share them with him, even purchase, shiny rocks, but not approve a subscription on my own personal card for him. Similarly, it could be possible to purchase shiny rocks each month, which could be used to pay for the subscription, but that isn’t allowed either. I think this is a huge oversight and should be fixed.
We're aware that some Quest 2 users are unable to connect to Wi-Fi after updating to Horizon v2.6. We've identified the cause, and a fix is now available. To download the fix, temporarily connect your Quest 2 to a mobile hotspot and follow the steps below. Before you begin: Using a mobile hotspot may use data from your mobile plan and could result in additional charges. Check your mobile plan before proceeding. Steps: Turn on the mobile hotspot on your phone. Need help? See instructions for iPhone or Android. On your Quest 2, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to the mobile hotspot. Confirm that your headset is connected to the internet. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. For more help, see how to update your Meta Quest software. Check for the latest software update (v2.6 build dated July 24, 2026 or later). Apply the update. Your headset will restart and install the new software. This may take a few minutes. Once the update is complete, go to Settings > Wi-
Hello, I just got a new phone number. I managed to change it for all my Meta accounts aside from my, well, Meta account. To change it, it wants me to log in and type in a code from my old number (that I can’t do). I can also type in a recovery code, but I don’t have one. So then I got to the support site, but there I can’t get to a support person without logging in, and at the login screen itself, there isn’t an option to request support. And in the support site itself, it keeps redirecting me to links I have already been to, only to start at the main page again. And the support AI system is utterly useless since it only tells me to press buttons that aren’t there.so what are my options here? Is there a secret link that I can press or what? Also this account is new since I needed to create one to ask for help. I would love to gain back access to my account since I am soon going to buy a new Quest headset and I already have a bunch of games purchased that I don’t want to lose acces
I can't figure out why I'm dropping frames;I'm using quest 2 connected with usb 3.0 and verified speeds, whilst playing beat saber my game starts dropping tons of frames and then goes back to normal every so often, to an unplayable amount.I have an rtx 3050 in my laptop with a ryzen 7435hs and 16gb ram. Please help me, I don't know what else I need to provide.
My minor son's Meta/Quest account was accidentally created with a parent's adult date of birth. The account has substantial purchase history, game progress, and other history, so simply abandoning it and creating a new account would mean losing quite a bit. The central problem is straightforward: because the account still shows an adult DOB, Meta Family Center will not allow me to supervise the account. We have already gone through Meta's requested age/identity verification process, but the DOB remains unchanged. Attempts to correct it through Accounts Center lead to a circular message telling us to use Accounts Center on a desktop/laptop—even when we are already doing exactly that. Meta Store Support has kept our case open and sends regular emails saying the issue is still being investigated, which I appreciate. However, after several months there has been no substantive progress or indication that the account has reached a team capable of correcting the DOB/account age state. The goa
Is there any solution for lost authenticator.
Hey there,So, I bought my first Meta Quest 3 almost a year and a half ago... and after a few months, it died. Black Screen, no connectivity, factory reset does nothing... and was told to send it in for RMA replacement. Then that one died. Then the next one...... and the one after that...... then one time it died after less than two weeks...... and again today.I've honestly lost track. I know it's been at least 5 headsets have died on me. Every time I've asked for what the cause might be... but no one can tell me.I'm told I'm an outlier... that people have enjoyed a single headset for years without issues or needing replacements... but I've never had a headset that lasted more than a few months. So I'm really starting to think it must be me.... but again... no one can tell me.Presumably someone checks the dead headsets for what the issue might've been. Because presumably Meta has some sort of interest in the failure points of their products. But that data is, as I was told today "for inte
Launching the game Virtual Virtual Reality (by Tender Claws) seems broken on Quest Pro. The game launches but the controllers/hands/cursor are not recognized by the game and I can not interact with it. Clicking the Oculus/Meta button reveals the shell/Navigator with the controllers rendering just fine. Clicking to go back to VVR and they disappear again. This is a classic game and I wanted to check out the recent Anniversary update but it isn't working. This is after a fresh factory reset of the headset and 2-3 reinstalls of the game.Anyone else having this issue?Same in Chess Club, too.
I really HATE that my kid's headset needs to have my account on it, to share my games.Anyway, I have the "master account" , and it boots and works fine. When he switches to his account, he sees passthrough , no home environment, no menu.menu button makes sounds as if menu opens/closes. Long press runs recenter animation.I deleted his account from the headset, and re-added it, and it worked for a day or two, now the issue is back. There was an old case of same-looking bug, where the "solution" was to switch off/on headset while removed (not on-head).This does not work, as the stupid sharing requires my account, and every time he switches on the headset, he is presented with user selection. - there is no way of making "his" account be the primary, always selected on power-on.
I have 2 devices on my account that I dont have anymore. How do I remove it? I already did factory reset, and returned the items.

HelloI lost the battery cover of the right controller for the Meta Quest 3. On the Meta site, I find a kit, but it’s only for those from the Meta Quest 2. Can you give me the correct link to this article ?Thank you
Meta Quest Remote Desktop on macOS fails at login every single time with "Something went wrong. Please wait 2-5 minutes and try again." Waiting doesn't help. The failure is instant and deterministic, so it is not rate limiting despite what the message implies. The app's own log shows the real error. The browser login succeeds and the deeplink comes back fine. I have a Meta Quest 3 that cannot complete a factory reset. In Android Recovery I get errors such as:• “make_ext4fs failed”• “I/O error”• “failed to make ext4 on /dev/block/by-name/metadata”The /metadata partition cannot be formatted and the system cannot rebuild itself. The device enters Android Recovery and Fastboot normally, but it cannot create the internal partitions.I need the full firmware to reinstall the system via fastboot/ADB, or confirmation that the internal memory is damaged.
Hello,I recently just bought a quest pro again, I got it used, and I've been having this issue where I can't get past the code screen. What usually happens is I factory reset it from the power + volume down menu. I connect to my wifi, go through the steps, and then it tells me there's an update. It stays on the screen for about 5 minutes, but the headset does not restart as if it didn't update at all? I try putting my code in on my phone and it will tell me "Can't Pair Yet". I've tried restarting the headset, pairing from another phone, pairing on another wifi, factory resetting again, no luck. I've tried going to the website to manually update the headset from https://www.meta.com/help/quest/software_update/ but every time I do it, it'll reach 50% then say the headset was disconnected and reset the headset. I've been trying to do the MQDH way that people say, but the headset won't detect on the app for some reason even if I have the headset plugged in directly to my computer. My
hi,I have a challenge with buying software (Virtual Desktop Inc.) after a refund in stores, First I bought it in the Meta store on the PC, but that one was not working/installed in the "Oculus Quest 3", that's why I bought it also in the Quest 3 store (that one worked operfectly) and asked for a refund of the software which I bought on the PC. But I received from both purchases the refund (Mine compliments for that and very fast). But now I cannot buy it again in the Quest 3 store. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue? Thanxs in advance.
Hi everyone, I’m using a Meta Quest 3 and trying to cast the display to an external monitor that only has HDMI input. I’m currently using a Baseus Metal Gleam Type-C 6-in-1 hub (with HDMI output). Here’s the issue:- On the first boot, the headset casts to the monitor without problems.- But if I leave it idle and then power it back on, the monitor doesn’t get a signal.- To fix it, I have to unplug the HDMI cable from the hub, wait 15–20 seconds, and plug it back in.I know Meta recommends using a direct chain (USB-C → DisplayPort → Active DP→HDMI adapter → HDMI cable) for stable casting. But since I already have this Baseus hub, I’d like to know: Has anyone found a way to make HDMI casting via hubs more stable, without buying extra adapters or cables? Are there settings, power tricks (like always powering the hub via PD), or other workarounds that help keep the HDMI handshake consistent?Any tips or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
