Since updating my Quest 3 to v2.7, I’ve been having issues with the controllers while using Virtual Desktop for game streaming. If I leave the controllers idle for a while without touching them, they get marked as lost. Once this happens, I cannot wake them up again. The only fix is re-pairing them manually, and I have to pair one controller at a time. This is a really poor experience. Many users have reported this bug. When will this be fixed?
I was using the official quest link cable to play PCVR and it was working fine. Next morning my PC can't connect to my headset via air link with the cable at all. I know the cable still works because it charges the headset if plugged into an outlet or other PC, but my headset wont even charge with the cable through my PC now. Nothing I have found online solved the problem. Air link will not recognize the pc over wifi either.
On August 28 I updated to 2.7Before all tracking worked flawlessly, but after the update I often lose tracking for a bit whenever my hands are idle on my lap for a few seconds. The controllers become unresponsive for a moment and then start lagging behind before returning to normal and register grip and triggers being pressed (when they are not being touched)Noticed it first when playing No Mans Sky. Tested other PCVR games with same results and even when playing native Quest 3 it happens.Does anyone else have the same problem and maybe found a solution? So far I tried removing batteries for 30 seconds and resetting boundaries, without results.Tried finding the option to unpair my controllers, but could not find the option to do so.This started immediately after updating to 2.7Would appreciate if Meta could confirm whether this is a known issue.
HiSince two days ago I can't connect to my desktop using meta link usb-c. I can connect via wifi. And when I plug the usb-c cable I can surf the quest system file from the pc so I guess the cable is OK and the quest usb-c port is ok. But I have tried with different cables and other computers with the same result. I have done a factory reset in the quest 3 and same result. So, if i can see the the meta quest 3 files from the pc I guess there is no problem in the computers, cable or quest 3. Then what happens? Please help
after years of having my headset bricked for months due to the devs at meta, I realized the issue. Uninstall meta link software. Then go find all oculus and meta link folder in appdata, program files, and program files x86. delete everything, restart the pc. Next use the DDU to remove nvidia drivers. Restart, Install a new version or 566.36 (in my opinion the best for driver for 40 series). Then reinstall Meta Link software. It should work again. I tried just uninstalling the meta Oculus software and the folders alone and it did nothing. it honestly might just be a nvidia driver reinstall to fix it.
ENG: Since the major OS update, the Link cable connection has been failing and randomly disconnecting for a moment, freezing the VR image and making it impossible to reconnect without fully restarting the PC.I mainly use the headset for sim racing (iRacing, LMU), and this happens quite frequently. My headset settings are not aggressive. After several attempts and configuration changes, it can sometimes last a few hours without issues, but then it suddenly freezes again. The game and the headset itself continue working — I can still see on the monitor that the headset movements are being tracked in-game — but I cannot see anything through the headset anymore.I do not currently use an official Link cable (although I have ordered the official €80 cable to test whether it solves the issue), but I never experienced problems like this before. Everything started after the major Meta OS update.Since then, I have also experienced zombie processes that would not close properly, causing the i
Whenever I try and pair my quest 2 to my pc the pair button just greys out after clicking it and then nothing else happens. There is no pairing code displayed on my pc or headset.I’ve tried reinstalling the meta horizon link appFactory reset my quest 2Restarted my router/modem, pc and quest 2 This is the first time I’ve had a major problem when trying to use air link. Normally just restarting the app fixes it but this time it still wont work.
I am having trouble connecting my headset with link. I set up my headset a while ago and it was fine. Today I tried to get it going again but nothing seems to work. I start the link app on windows and select link using cable, then I connect my headset but it's stuck for ever on this start screen. I have tried reinstalling the app, restarting windows, restarting headset, connecting different USB ports. Nothing seems to work. Can't seem to get anywhere. I have a quest 2 and 3 and I get the same problem with both. What can I do? Thanks.
Controllers don’t pair anymore. They vibrate every few seconds. Can’t reset them. Can’t finish the factory reset. Can’t update via cable. Can’t contact support due to technical issues. Help😭
Trying to make a new profile on my quest 3, and link it to my new Facebook account, but both the headset and the meta app take me to Instagram when trying to add another account and not Facebook, and my old Facebook account was made with a Gmail account, so it makes so sense that when signing into my new Facebook account on meta, it says this account already exists and it my old one that I'm actively trying to swap from, or just delete entirely if it becomes more of an issue. None of this makes sense. How are two separate emails and accounts the same meta profile? They are different Facebook accounts. I can't add a profile on the headset, it just tells me that one already exists, and the add accounts thing just takes me to Instagram. I really need help and the meta support team sent me here. Someone please help I had to buy a new cell phone to make a new Facebook account just so I can Livestream to my Facebook again, because my old one refuses to do that. I'm 180 dollars in the hole ju
Hi, I have been using Metta Quest 3 Link with my PC for a few days and everything has been fine.Today, I opened Link from the headset and just got a totally black screen, so I exited and tried again. Ever since then, when trying to open link, the loading screen just displays, infinitely.I can see the Quest "connected" in the Horizon app on the PC, and when the infinite loading screen is displaying, library apps seem to think the headset is connected.Im brand new to Meta Quest, only had it a couple weeks, and as I say, only been using Link for less than a week, so I'm probably doing something stupid, but its driving me crazy.I have tried:Restarting headsetRestarting PCReinstalling Meta Horizon appRepairing Meta Horizon appRepairing headsetRemoving Temp filesLogging out/in of accountRestarting runtime service
Hello,The controllers on my Quest 3 deactivate completely after several minutes of inactivity. To reconnect it, I have to press the meta and B buttons on the right controller, and the dash and Y buttons on the left controller, then go into settings to reactivate them. How to fix this problem ?Thanks

I updated the Meta Quest App to the Meta Horizon version. Trying to pair my old Oculus Quest. The device is recognized. The code is accepted. I finished the whole process until I get to the final safety screen and there's no way to proceed from there - no OK/Continue button. Nothing. Is there anything I can do?
hi, if i disable wifi connection in the "link" section, i did not find a possibility to get the usb-c cable connection between quest3 and workstation established.i would say i tried everything thinkable...only thing is to restart the quest3... any idea why or how to...? thanks for help!
I bought an Oculus Quest 2 about 6 months ago and it has been working fine either standalone or using oculus link (I use a Kiwi Cable for this). I stopped playing it for a little while but for the last 2 weeks or so, randomly a pixelated bar will sometimes show at the top and bottom of the screen, they look really low resolution but the centre of the screen is always perfectly clear. The monitor that mirrors the gameplay has no issues either. Most of the time they go away after a few minutes, but there has been one occasion where the bars seemed to 'grow' over the entire screen and couldn't see until I completely restart the Quest 2. This only happens when using link, not had any issues with standalone games. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?
After Meta Aug 28 2026 firmware update... my Quest 3 will NOT connect to any of my bluetooth devices.... I have tried every suggestion meta has posted to fix the problem.... Still no good... It is a firmware problem
In the Meta Quest Link app on my PC (Windows 11), when trying to add a new device, the window that shows all the Meta headsets to choose from is much larger than the display size of my monitor (1980x1020), so the "previous" and "next" buttons cannot be accessed. This is a problem with the Meta Quest Link software not scaling its windows properly. The Meta Quest Link window cannot be resized (the little square in the top right corner for resizing the window is greyed out), and my PC monitor is already set at its maximum supported resolution. Lowering the display resolution only makes the problem worse. While I can scale my Windows display to make everything larger, it is not possible to downscale the windows below 100%, so I have no way to make the Meta Quest Link window fit on my screen. So basically, I am stuck and can't navigate forwards or backwards from this screen.
Venting. Trying to use the Meta Quest Link software on Windows 11 with the Meta Quest 3 and a USB cable is a horrible experience. Meta should be embarrassed and they should fire whoever is in charge of Windows application development. The application sometimes takes minutes to load and is so erratic when it comes to actually connecting to the headset, which often gets stuck on the black screen when connecting to the PC.
Hey so earlier my quest 3 won't connect to Wi-Fi I've tried to but it keeps saying limited connection, then I factory reset it, and it didn't work so I restarted it but now it's stuck at the updating screen and I can't get off of it also it's not even updating because it has no wifi what do I do I've tried to talk to customer support but they wouldn't answer (I waited like half an hour) I filed a report cause if you press the meta menu button so many times it lets you and idk when I'll be getting a response does anyone know what I should do, also should I mention that I am connected to hotel Wi-Fi
There is something inherently wrong with the Quest 3 USB-C port. Anytime I attempt to charge the device while using it, I get a pop up and it starts beeping a warning saying that the USB-C port has been disabled for dust and debris. There is absolutely not dust or debris. I know this for a fact because I exchanged a unit with a new one, took it straight out of the box with no liquid or dust in sight - and the brand new unit does the same thing. I am using the most current software / firmware as of September 2024. This may be a hardware issue as it appears not everyone gets this issue. I’ve seen Meta marking several of these as solved when it isn’t, which makes me believe that this may be a known hardware issue. Hopefully meta fixes the issue in future production.
So my son got the quest 3s for christmas last year and about 2 months ago it started saying finding position in room. Someone told him to do a factory reset. When we did that the controllers can not be found now. or they are suck on "your firmware is updating" and then it does nothing. I even left it on the update and powered on overnight and nothing changed. it just keeps telling me it failed. what do i do next? i really do not want to purchase another one if this is just going to happen again. Someone please help me!!!!
Hello, I'm having trouble logging into the Meta Quest app on my PC. It keeps saying the email or password is incorrect, even though the same credentials work fine on the web and on my phone. I've reset the password three times, created a new account to test, and reinstalled the app five times, but the issue keeps happening. I was able to connect my headset to my PC through Air Link, but it still asks me to log in through the Meta Horizon Link application and won't accept my credentials there either. Could you help me figure out what might be causing this?
Hi all, I'm not sure what I've done but I've got beyond the point of frustration here Maybe a year or two ago I used SIDEQUEST to send a movie file to my Quest. It works fine I've since purchased various programs on the Quest Store and notice any time I buy something, it emails me on my main email. The VR profile I have however seems to be tied to another email. When I joined this forum I used my main email and my VR profile automatically showed up including my Avatar. It's working as it should When I use my main email on Horizon, it forces me to make a new Avatar and I can't find my VR profile anywhere When I try to pair my headset, it says it can find 53 Bluetooth devices but can't find my headset My headset is fine, I can log into the store and download When I try to connect using wireless or anything else it won't work either I can still use Virtual Desktop while this i
I have been getting back into modded beat saber recently and to play it i need a pc (witch i have) I have become beyond frustrated because my quest link stopped working every time i try to launch quest link it shows the notification saying that it is connected but its grayed out I've tried to do thing such as: turn link on quest on and off again, update my drivers, downgrade my drivers, update my headset, and update the quest software on pc, and none of those had worked my specs are in the screenshot below I'm not that tech savvy so if someone could help me that would be great
