Competition is good, we've been a bit lacking in VR options lately.Valve have announced the Steam Frame. It's a mobile headset running on a Snapdragon SOC (similar to Quests). It's also got wireless streaming (with a few interesting tricks) and uses 4 camera inside out tracking with inbuilt IR LED illuminators for dark rooms. Here's the specs. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU (more powerful than the Quest 3 Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2). 16GB ram. Micro sd card slot for up to 1TB storage. Back of the head mounted battery pack. 2160x2160 per eye LCD screens. 72-144Hz refresh. Pancake lenses. 60-70mm IPD 110 degree fov (so similar to Quest 3). Four monochrome IR cameras for inside out tracking and controller tracking. It can do pass through video, but only monochrome. Two eye tracking cameras. IR illuminators to light up dark rooms for tracking. Expansion port (maybe this could do better than USB 2.0? Don't know) Dual wifi 7. One wifi (5GHz) for internet, another separate wifi (6GHz) for streaming video

Why ain't there hall effect or tmr sticks for controllers 

I'm curious if anyone here uses a gaming laptop with their Meta Quest for PCVR while travelling. I'm trying to understand whether an RTX 4060 laptop is enough for a smooth experience with Quest Link or Air Link, or if going for an RTX 4070 is worth the extra cost.Portability is a big factor for me, so I'd love to hear which laptops people are actually using and how well they perform. I've been exploring gaming laptop options, but real-world experiences from Quest users would be really helpful.

As many may have seen recently, alot of people were rooting their quest pro headsets and, along a long list of other privacy related things, were able to 'unlock' a MUCH better face tracking preset, including individual eye and cheek tracking and an accurate tongue depiction thats more than just the current, out/in,  proving the headset is plenty capable for a better, smoother experienceAs many may have also seen, just hours after this root method was released, meta kindly decided to push out update that patched the root, shutting us off from the quite frankly incredible face tracking that we COULD haveThe best part, for any meta devs reading this, you wouldnt have to lift a finger, im certain 90% of the face tracking addon makers would be more than happy to just hand over the software that improved face tracking tenfold, in doing this you would also gain a LOT of consumer goodwill, which in all honesty is needed right now If in case you havent seen anything, example of the h

so i have tried everything to factory reset to using sideload update from meta quest them selves and nothing has worked so far.it is true that it is secondhand.

Even after many attempts and a lot of my time wasted, my headset is still experiencing a bug where games get stuck on the loading screen. I have tried factory resetting my headst and doing multiple hard reboots. This seemed to happen after i created a second profile. If anyone has a solution please share.

Hello since the 2.9 ptc update when ever i join a call on my headset i cant hide the call it always shows the green call button anyway to fix this?

Can anyone confirm that the latest update of Virtual display app lets you connect ps5 to quest 3 and it supports a input of 4k which was previously capped at 1080p

Since the latest update Airlink runs at 15Mbps and ignores all bitrate settings. This has rendered the interface unusable. Please do not incompetently deploy updates as some of us are actually using these headsets.

Meta Horizon Linkを起動すると黒い画面のままになり、ログイン・初期設定を進めることができません。「経緯」チュートリアルを飛ばしてしまったため、まずは普通にVRchatで遊んでいました。とちゅうでチュートリアルらしきものができる画面をMeta Horizon Linkのアプリ内で見つけたため開いた瞬間にそのアプリの画面が真っ黒になりました。そこからはVRのディスプレイ内では何も無い黒い部屋のような画面でずっとロードし続けており、何時間放置しても一向に新しい画面になりませんでした。 Windows 11を使用しており、Rift Sを接続していない状態でも同じ症状が発生します。Meta Horizon Linkはアンインストールして再インストール済みです。WebブラウザではMetaアカウントに正常にログインできます。しかし、アンインストール、再インストール、修復などをおこなっても相変わらずアプリを開くと写真のような画面になります。VPN・プロキシは使用しておらず、QWAVEとOVRServiceは実行中です。OVRServiceの再起動、Windowsの時刻同期、OVRServer_x64.exeのグラフィック設定変更も試しましたが改善しませんでした。イベントビューアーではOVRServiceLauncherのイベント0を確認しましたが、「この操作を正しく終了しました」と表示されています。Meta Horizon Linkのインストールまたは認証処理に問題がないか確認していただきたいです。必要であればログファイルも提出できます。ちなみにログファイルにも目ぼしいものはなかったです。

The remote desktop app after validating the log in from the browser for the meta account asks to try again after 2-5 minutes and something went wrong. I tried restarting and re-installing the application but of no help. What can be done?

Hi everyone,My Quest 3 is not connecting to Horizon Worlds properly. When I launch the app it gets stuck on the loading screen and never fully connects. I've already tried restarting the headset, clearing the app cache and reinstalling Horizon Worlds but the issue keeps coming back.My Wi-Fi connection is stable and other apps work fine. Has anyone else experienced this recently or found a fix? Would appreciate any help!Thanks

The latest updates have rendered Meta Quest PC Link completely unusable. I’ve been having issues with the wired Link connection since early 2026; after about 10 minutes, the headset freezes during gameplay. The only way to get another 10–15 minutes of playtime before it freezes again is to disconnect the USB cable and terminate the OVRServer_x64.exe process. I’ve tried every conceivable fix—some even allowed me to play for an hour—but since I primarily use it for racing games, the current situation makes it pointless.Since the last update, I can’t even launch a game anymore; the headset freezes while still in the Link app—basically right after I start Link. I haven't been able to use my headset with my PC for over six months now.With no update providing a solution—and the latest one making it truly unusable—I have to wonder if the people involved know what they’re doing; it’s a disgrace.

Tenho um Meta Quest 3s há um ano ou um pouco mais e vejo a disparidade entre países, aqui por exemplo até hoje eu não tive acesso ao Meta Horizon Worlds, fora outros jogos e apps que existem em outros países menos aqui no Brasil. E a novidade que agora a assinatura da Meta te dá direito ao Xbox Game Pass Essential, mas aqui no Brasil não é olha que eu pago a assinatura da Meta e pago em dólar igual qualquer assinante, mas não tenho acesso aos mesmos benefícios. Até quando isso? 

Recently me and my friends got back into vr, I can’t log into the app with my main account on phone but in logged in on my vr. I can’t log in because I had authenticator app setup for it but I got a new phone and factory reset my old phone, the key didn’t transfer over and now I can’t access the account on phone  If anyone knows a way I can get my account please let me know I really need it, thanks

Ive been trying to login to my headset but it keeps telling me the login to www.meta.com/device and I tried logging in but it's telling me my email is wrong, or it's not connected to any accounts which is a lie because it's connected to the account ik messaging on, I just need help with this it's making me mad

I cant for the life of me find a way to disable this awful double tap feature, sure its great for standalone but as someone who uses pcvr and i just wanna lay down and watch a movie, im not even tapping it and it keeps activating and its driving me nuts, is there a way to disable this feature or passthrough overall, i know there USED to be a way to but it seems that setting is gone now?

Just got the update and it saysYou can now use Meta Quest Touch controllers to emulate an XBOX gamepad. This feature is compatible with XBOX and Steam Link. Enable the feature in Settings > Devices > Controllers. Once enabled, press the Meta and Menu buttons together to switch into Gamepad mode, then press the Meta button to exit. Available on Quest 3, 3S.I don't see an option to enable it and pushing both buttons don't work anyone know how to do this I'm on a quest 3

Hi! I Have an Oculus quest 2 I can’t contact Meta support. The Quest 2 support page says there’s no device linked to my account, but when I enter the CORRECT serial number (from the Meta Horizon app and on the side of the device), it says:No product found. Check the information you’ve entered and try again.The device had been left unused for a long time and wouldn’t switch on. There were issues with the Wi-Fi connection: it would connect but not work, as the date on the device was set to 2022 or 2023. Once the correct date was set, the internet worked. Following a failed update, I had to perform a factory reset. When I switched it on for the first time after connecting to Wi-Fi, the device tried to download updates, but it got stuck at 0% for a long time (I suspect this is because the date has reset to 2022–2023 again).I can’t update via https://www.meta.com/help/quest/software_update/ either (at around 50–60 percent, the device restarts, but the installer displays the messag

Hi there,I am having issues with Quest Link glitching and freezing. The quest link says "You won't be able to use the Link feature, as your system's hardware is incompatible with it."However, my system hardware is compatable. I have checked everything and my PC is more than able to handle VR. I am using Meta's quest link cable on USB-3 and the usb test was successful. Headset is quest 3. Here is more details of my specs:Link Cable: Using branded meta link cableProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 285K (3.70 GHz)Graphics card NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5090Memory 43.7GBOperating system Windows 11I have repaired, unisntall and reinstalled the software many times. One time a message popped up that there was a known bug with my graphics version. "Your NVIDIA graphics card has a known bug which causes Meta Horizon Link to freeze-up during gameplay. Please roll back to version 591.86 won't be able to use the Link Feature. " I have followed the app's advice and rolled babk the graphics card.

Hi AllI'm sure that this is an old boring issue, but I can't buy games on Meta Horizon for Quest 3 device. I get a message 'Feature not available. Your request could not be completed. This feature currently not available to you. Please try again later.'It's been 4 days and I've tried the multiple solutions regarding disconnecting other Meta account's, restarting, logging out, readding payments etc. I'm not sure what's left.....  Is there something that can be unflagged on my account at the Meta end? If so how would I initiative that?ThanksCalmD

My Quest 3 can only manage 300Mbps on Speedtest.net with a 1Gbps USB-C hub (powered). The same hub, if plugged into my PC reaches over 900Mbps. I have a 1Gbps connection to Plusnet.Has Meta nerfed the Ethernet connection in the Q3 in a recent update? I used to get full speed. I have tried multiple USB-C Ethernet cables/hubs, and they're all restricted to 300Mbps.
