After not using my headset for ages, I recently got an email from meta saying that my Oculus account was going to be deleted. After verifying it was not a scam I tried to migrate it, I did create a new meta account and did everything right (I think). But none of my games are visible in the meta horizons app or on the website, I can't see any of my purchases on the website. When I try to contact support I just get redirected to the AI chatbot which can't help me, when I then try get past it to contact human support I need a serial number or an order number. I do not have a serial number for my account since I gave away the headset to my sister and don't currently have access to it, and when I enter the old order number i found from 2020 it just says invalid. I did not get a confirmation email from meta or Oculus or anything saying that my account was successfully migrated. How can I stop my data from being deleted? How can I check if it was migrated successfully? How can I contact real
When I start up the link for my quest 3, I get a popup on the link software telling me my computer doesn't meet the minimum spec. I have looked at the online specs and it is fine according to that. I have 16gb ram, intel i7 and a geforce RTX 4060 video card. Despite all this it does seem to work. Shall I just ignore this? Is this a known bug with link?
After around 30 minutes to an hour of playing, the screen freezes and turns off followed by an orange light. I would peek over at the monitor to see that the app itself has crashed rather than the Rift S. It restarts after a couple seconds. Guessing this is a software issue rather than my Rift S bugging out. Could anyone help me with this?
My Q3 was linking fine to my PC this afternoon, then literally an hour or two later, will not link.I'm using a usb 3.0 cable, it is in a USB 3 port, power management of USB port is set correctly.I get a notification saying 'Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article'.There is no support article.I have restarted the headset and PC, repaired the Horizon app, logged out and back into the Horizon app, restarted the OVR service and I still can't get it to work.Anyone else having or had similar issues recently? Horizon software 83.0.0.333.349Headset V83.1034 build 5156385.14650.520Grateful for any ideas.
I put up a post on reddit about this too but sadly haven't found a solution yet.My friend recently gave me his old oculus rift s, he'd been meaning to sell it but just never got around to it. Itd been sitting in his car for a couple months but theres no visual damage. It also didn't come with any instructions and he doesnt remember how to set it up because he hadnt used it in ages.I updated all my drivers on my pc and graphics card (nvidia geforce 3060) and it keeps getting stuck on the Headset Sensor Check. This model didn't come with external sensors. My pc recognised the oculus as two separate audio outputs but no video outputs. Ive paired the controllers just fine but Ive tried EVERYTHING to get it through the sensor check.Tried all my usb ports (two 3.0 ports and even my 2.0 ports just out of desperation and to say I had tried)tried all display ports (including the one normally reserved for my monitor)Updated windowsupdated graphics card driversUSB port drivers are up to dateI have
I'm on version PTC 208.0.0.47.535 (208.0.0.47.535).I was on prior non PTC version. The Link System Tray icon is gone. App doesn't quit to tray anymore. How do I get it back?
I bought a used Quest 2 and I am completely unable to complete the initial setup/pairing. The automated support chat blocks my serial number because it is second-hand, so I cannot reach live chat either. Here are the exact technical details: Headset Serial: *** Previous owner app error: *** Server MID: *** Status: 3x factory reset done. Device missing from seller's account. Thank you!
Been like 2 days since i tried playing and my headset is just bricked. i dont know what to even do anymore ive tried everything but a factory reset
Bug: Mouse pointer becomes uncontrollable when using Quest 3 while lying downDevice: Meta Quest 3OS Version: Horizon OS 2.7The mouse works normally when I am sitting upright. However, when I lie down and use the Quest 3, the mouse pointer becomes severely bugged. The main issue is that the mouse behaves as if the pointer is constantly hitting a screen boundary or being affected by an incorrect coordinate system. For example:Moving the mouse left or right causes the cursor to move in a large circular/ring-shaped motion instead of moving horizontally. The cursor appears to be rotated or mapped to an incorrect coordinate system. The problem occurs specifically when I am lying down.Re-centering/resetting the view does not fix the problem.Turning Lying Down Mode on or off does not fix the problem.Re-centering the view after changing Lying Down Mode also does not fix it.When I sit upright again, the mouse works normally. This mouse worked correctly before the Quest 3 was updated to Horizon OS 2.
All of a sudden I can't travel to any of my normal Worlds. I get a pop up saying "Unable to take you to your destination" or something like that.
I feel like the quest pro would be totally worth it if it had all the features that normal face tracking headsets have. Like for example tongue, movement and eye crossing, there’s a forum going online about the fact that the quest pro is perfectly capable of tracking this, but that Meta put in a rule into the headset that block it. Why? I wanted a headset that had full face tracking and I was very excited to hear that the pro half face tracking that’s why I bought it but then I found out that it couldn’t even do tongue movement or I couldn’t move my eyes the way I can on the vive headsets. If Meta got rid of this will have blocked it, they could definitely be able to match with vive face tracking and more people would buy it. Or if they could explain why they set that rule in the first place..
When I try to play back a portrait mode video I shot on my phone (Pixel 9 Pro) in the Gallery app in the headset, the video appears severely cropped. The issue is the video is stored as 1920x1080 with a 90º (or 270º) rotation flag that the player is not properly taking into account.Oddly enough, the player doesn't entirely ignore the flag, since the image is properly rotated. The problem comes because for some reason it seems to think the video as being in landscape mode, and goes on to create a landscape mode viewport the width of the now-portrait video (1080), which at 16:9 leaves you with a height of 607 pixels. Less than 1/3 of the video's 1920 height. The easy way out would be to move on to another player, but I'd really like to be able to use the native Gallery for the 3D conversion feature.Hope this makes sense and it can be corrected some time soon. Thanks in advance.
Hello, With the release 25 of the meta quest 3 I’ve started experiencing something I find very annoying, the Bluetooth keyboard alt and action keys are now working as meta button.Could it be made optional? It’s very annoying loosing focus of the app i’m using eveytime I click any of those buttons.
Hi,I am experiencing an intermittent PC WebXR issue with a Quest 2 and Meta Horizon Link.SummaryWhen a WebXR page calls:navigator.xr.requestSession("immersive-vr")the Promise often remains pending indefinitely. The browser page stays on “Starting VR” or “Loading VR”.I added a 150-second diagnostic timeout to my application, so it eventually displays “VR timed out”. This timeout is only an application-side diagnostic: the native requestSession() Promise itself neither resolves nor rejects. The problem also occurs with official WebXR samples, so it does not appear to be specific to my application or its assets.Environment- Headset: Meta Quest 2- PC OS: Windows 11 64-bit- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU- NVIDIA driver reported by Meta logs: 32.0.15.6624 (status: OK)- Meta Horizon Link / Oculus Runtime: 1.206.0 / 206.0.0.109.432- Browser: Microsoft Edge (Chromium)- Connection methods tested: USB & Air LinkReproduction steps1. My headset was working normally at 1AM today and then i went to charge it alittle over 4 hours ago, when i went to put on the headset it was stuck in passthrough, my controllers wont connect, i cant connect to the app, i tried restarting it abunch and doing a force reset in the debug menu. nothing seems to work. someone please help
I’ve noticed that in a lot of games, (banter, bigscreen, pavlov, breachers) the hands don’t line up with where my controllers are pointing, instead they point outwards. This is not an issue with the quests menu ui, they line up fine when im navigating quest menus. It is in game where this appears.
[SOLVED] So I just bought a Meta Quest 3s. did every instruction there until it got me to the Meta Horizon part. I downloaded the app, then when it comes to the code needed, it did not sent any codes to my sms, also checked my mails' important, inbox and then the spam. nothing. I requested the code many times but nothing came. I just want to play with my Meta Quest but I just can't if the Meta Horizon won't let me request code because i got temporarily banned or on a cooldown after requesting too much codes just for me to activate the meta horizon on my phone. any fixes or any solutions for this? EDIT: was able to verify my meta horizon through recovery code, Thanks!
Please help. Im not receiving any sms or email with my 6 digit code to log into my meta quest account?.
I got an email that i need to migrate my oculus account to meta account, i only bought the quest 3 and i have been up to date with the apps and stuff. And i dont really see a problem with my account.
I am reporting what appears to be a regression involving Quest Link after updating to NVIDIA Studio Driver 616.92.System configuration:Quest 3Alienware Area-51 laptopNVIDIA RTX 5090 Laptop GPU (24 GB)Intel Core Ultra 9 27564 GB RAMWindows 11Meta Horizon Link version 207.0.0.133.434Unreal Engine 5.7.4The issue is not specific to Unreal Engine. The Quest works normally in standalone mode. When Quest Link is enabled, one of two things happens.Open Dash remains on "Attempting to connect to PC" indefinitely.Or, PCVR opens successfully but the headset displays severe rendering artifacts. The rendering artifact consists of a correct image in the center of the headset surrounded by a wide black border with irregular zigzag edges. Outside that border are repeated gray zigzag patterns and duplicated fragments of the scene that resemble a lattice. The PC monitor renders the scene correctly. The same rendering artifact occurs with Unreal Engine completely closed while simply navigating the Meta PCVR en
Hello everyone,I was messing around in the accessibility settings and decided to try out Voice Controls. I got a download prompt, clicked through it, and admittedly spammed the toggle a bit to get it to turn on.It finally turned on, but now I'm stuck with a really annoying bug:There is a permanent purple circle with a white microphone icon floating in the top right of my FOV (looks a bit like the red recording indicator). The voice commands don't actually work at all (I'm in Germany, so dictation/AI features have never worked for me anyway). The worst part: I can't turn it off. The Voice Control toggle/slider in the settings is completely unresponsive and stuck in the ON position.I've already tried rebooting the headset, but the floating icon is still there and the toggle remains stuck.Does anyone know a fix or a way to force-disable this accessibility feature? Having this icon constantly floating in my view is super distracting. Thanks!
I was playing gorilla tag on my quest 3 and everything was working fine then I put the headset and controllers on the official quest 3 charging dock and a couple hours later when I was going to play vr again I noticed my right touch plus controller not waking up and the headset displayed a message saying “ right controller not connected press any button to wake it up” and I tried replacing the batteries but that didn’t help, then I tried rebooting the headset and it still didn’t work. but when I put the controller on the charging dock it lights up on the charging light on the dock so the controller is clearly being recognized the the dock and is receiving power. this is very weird. Is there anything I can try to get it to wake up and connect?
Meta recently removed the ability to manually disable positional tracking on Quest headsets. This creates a major problem for anyone using a motion racing or flight simulator. When the simulator moves the seat and headset, the Quest interprets that physical movement as head movement and moves the viewpoint in VR. This makes the use of motion rigs with VR impossible The frustrating part is that the Quest can still operate without positional tracking. If I physically cover the tracking cameras, the headset eventually gives me a “Proceed without tracking” option and my motion rig works correctly. So the functionality is still there; we just no longer have a normal way to enable it.Meta, please restore the Disable Tracking / Positional Tracking toggle in Settings. This is a small option that makes a huge difference for motion simulator users. If you use a motion racing or flight rig with a Quest, please comment/upvote so Meta knows this affects more than one user.

A while ago I was trying to make a purchase and I added my new card on to my meta account I ended up typing the wrong vip code a few times and when I finally remembered it I was restricted from making purchases, I’m wondering if I could get help with that and be able to make purchases again with my account.
