I contacted Meta Quest’s official support page regarding a startup issue, but the problem persisted even after I tried restarting the device after charging, as instructed. I also tried the official software update tool, but the issue remained unchanged.I am still unable to proceed past the “Android Recovery” screen; even when I select “Try again,” the Meta logo appears briefly before I am returned to the same screen. This issue began after the battery ran out. I have not performed a factory reset yet.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
So my left quest 3 controller will not register of moving forward. I’ve had it for about 3-5 months so far, I can move the joystick forward it just does not register it moving. My joystick can only register going diagonally to the left or backwards, any other way does not work. It also has insane stick drift and it gets really jittery sometimes.
First, I noticed that the 'Beta' menu has disappeared from the Meta Link app.The issue I am encountering involves a masking misalignment between 3D content and the real-world background in Passthrough mode. Specifically, there is an offset where a black silhouette protrudes upwards above the content.I am aware that PC Link Passthrough is primarily intended for debugging purposes. However, this is a critical issue for us because our main content relies heavily on this feature. Is there any solution or workaround for this
The controllers will consistently never reconnect after remaining on sleep mode for a little while, is there an actual fix to this? Meaning one that doesn't involve replacing the batteries, pairing the controllers again, turning it off and waiting to turn it back on again, rebooting, or minimizing it by turning off hand tracking. Just an actual fix?
I am writing this post out of deep frustration and after hitting a complete dead-end with the standard email support. I desperately need a Community Manager or an internal supervisor to step in and review my case, because your front-line email agents repeatedly state they have "no manual tools" to resolve a system conflict created entirely by Meta. Here is the exact situation: 1. How the money got trapped: I purchased a game with my own money. Meta Support officially reviewed and APPROVED my refund request. Meta then deposited that refund directly into my account wallet as a store credit balance of $39.99. 2. The automated lockout: Immediately after Meta placed my approved $39.99 into my wallet, the automated system placed a security hold on my account and demanded government ID verification via an on-screen appeal interface before I could spend my balance. 3. The impossible contradiction: When I contacted support, the email agents explicitly confirmed that Saudi Arabia is NOT supporte
Is it my imagination or did some highly paid person at Meta agree that removing our ability to order our library of games by 'most recently played' would be a great idea?I literally have new games at the bottom of my 200+ game library and i cant do anything about it.Im getting so fed up with the way Meta are constantly making it worse, i just dont get whats going on with them.
I genuinely don’t understand what Meta was thinking with the new Quest 3 UI. It feels like one of those redesigns made for the sake of looking “new” rather than actually making the headset easier to use.The biggest problem is that everything now feels less direct. Actions that used to be obvious are buried behind extra menus, icons are less clear, and the whole interface somehow feels more cluttered while also showing less useful information at once. That’s quite an achievement.VR interfaces need to be simple. You’re wearing a headset, using motion controllers or hand tracking, and you want to get into an app quickly. You shouldn’t have to hunt through floating panels trying to remember where Meta moved a setting this month. The new layout also wastes far too much space. Quest 3 has a huge virtual display area available, yet Meta seems determined to make basic navigation feel like using a cramped mobile interface stretched into VR. There’s lots of empty space, oversized elements, and me
I'm trying to join the payday aces high playtest but for whatever reason my account is saying I'm not 18. My birthday is correct and nothing has worked. What could possibly be the problem?
everyone,I am a simracer and mainly use my Quest 3S for iRacing in VR.After formatting my PC and installing a new GPU, my Quest 3S started freezing when using Quest Link over USB. I spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting it, so I wanted to share what I found in case it helps someone else.My setup:Meta Quest 3SRTX 5070 TiWindows PCiRacingQuest Link over USBThe problem:The Quest 3S would completely freeze inside Quest Link. The important part was that the PC itself did not freeze. The mouse was still working. The PC continued running normally.iRacing continued running normally when I was in a game.Head tracking continued to work. But the image inside the Quest 3S was completely frozen. At first, I suspected the USB connection.Initially, Meta's USB test showed:USB 2, approximately 370 Mbps.I then changed to a different USB port on the PC and got:USB 3, approximately 2.7 Gbps.Meta then reported the connection as compatible. However, the freezing problem could still occur.Interestingly, I coul
Hi,My Quest 3 used to work perfectly with Link over USB 3 (about 2.4 Gbps in the Link USB test). Since the Windows 11 26H2 update, the headset is always detected as USB 2.0 and I'm capped at about 340 Mbps.SetupCPU: Intel Core i9 14900KGPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super, with the driver version recommended on Meta's support siteMotherboard: Gigabyte Z790 AORUS Pro X WiFi 7OS: Windows 11 26H2Cable: third-party USB-A to USB-C cable (USB 3), which worked fine before the update, plugged into a USB 3 Type-A port on the motherboardWhat I observedUSB Tree Viewer shows the Quest 3 as High-Speed (USB 2.0).On the exact same port, a USB 3 flash drive is correctly shown as SuperSpeed, so the port and the controller work at USB 3.Same result on a second PC, also on Windows 11 26H2.Even at USB 2 speed, Link is unusable: black screen at launch, or heavy freezes (the image stays frozen when I turn my head), crashes, and around 15 FPS.What I already triedFlipping the USB-C connector on the headset side: no cha
I wanted to go in the metaverse after a time and the battery was drained. I charged it and tried to power it on, but it only showed the the meta logo when it started but then I'm stuck on a grey screen. If I want to use the software-update-tool it always disconnects. I already tried the refactory reset a few times and tried to restart it but nothing works. What should I do?

I am hoping someone from Meta can finally help me with this.My Quest 3 developed a serious fault following a Meta software update. It had been working normally beforehand and there was no accidental damage, liquid damage or misuse.Initially, the headset would power on and produce sound but the displays were unusable. I reported the problem to Meta at the time and followed all of the troubleshooting I was asked to complete, including reset, factory reset and software recovery procedures. The headset was never restored to working condition and ultimately became completely unresponsive. It now will not power on or charge, there is no charging LED, no display, and I cannot access the boot or recovery menu.I appreciate that the standard manufacturer warranty has now expired, but this is not simply an old device that gradually wore out. This was a premium headset costing around £600 which became completely unusable after approximately two years, following a Meta software update. What makes thi
So just received 2.5 on headset and I can no longer filter app drawer by installed only.Anyone else experience this? Why does this feature seem to drop off with every few updates? So annoying.

Hi! I'm really hoping that I'll get the help I need the help I need and been searching for weeks now. Here's the issue: I installed Meta Quest Link in order to use my Oculus Rift S, followed every instructions needed and I've been able to make it work without any issues. The actual interface once with the headset worked properly, I was using it like normal until when I tried to launch the ''First Steps'' experience for the first time, I ended in a loading screen on the headset and this screen above this text appeared on my PC within the Meta Quest Link app, it seems like I'm stuck in an eternal loading screen. I tried to close it and restart the app, nothing. I've even uninstall the app to reinstall it after, still nothing, repaired the app with ''OculusSetup'', also nothing. I can't make it past this loading screen and be able to use my headset like normal. I don't know what to do, I tried everything in my power. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi, I’m an adult with cerebral palsy and some balance limitations. I’m considering a Quest 3 or 3S mainly for exercise, especially lower-body exercise.I’m hoping to hear from people with physical disabilities or mobility limitations who actually use Quest for exercise. I’m especially interested in experiences involving balance, coordination, weakness, limited standing tolerance, seated exercise, supported standing, or modified movements. What apps have worked well for you? Were you able to adapt the exercises to your abilities, and did the headset track your movements well enough to make the workouts useful?I’d really appreciate hearing about real-world experiences before I decide whether buying a Quest makes sense for me.

I have an important problem which is disturbing me a lot: i made about 190 videos and was importing it to my gallery on my phone (Samsung galaxy a42). But sometimes my phone cut out for a moment and interrupted my import. Now only 83 of my video's are saved. The other part disappeared. How can i still restore them? Really appreciate the effort.🙏
591.86 WHQL — January 27, 2026 was the last working drivers from Nvidia that meta quest link supports. Since February 26, 2026. Nvidia 595.59 WHQL update and onward has caused a wide spread issue were Meta quest headsets have been crashing (screen freezes on a frame and tears) after 1 to 20 mins. For me personally its about a minute. It has been exactly 193 days since there has been a working version quest link for currnt drivers. I have multiple friends that have experienced this problem. I see countless post on reddit even now and even on these forums about this issue. And it hasn't been address at all. Its been just over half a year since I have been able to play games on the latest Nvidia drivers without having to install older Nvidia drivers to use for VR games. This is how me and many other people have gotten around this problem since many new games don't work with older drivers. I have upgraded from a 3080 to a 5080 / new pc (not related to VR breaking) and prayed that it would f
Hello Meta Support Team,I am completely locked out of my Meta account and cannot use my Meta Quest 3 headset. The account requires Two-Factor Authentication via SMS, but the verification code is being routed to an old, disconnected mobile number. There are no alternative recovery methods or backup codes configured on the account. Here is my current situation:I have full, verified access to the registered account email address and have completed password resets via email.I am in physical possession of my Meta Quest 3 hardware.Attempting to use the web support portal redirects me in automated loops requiring a device login or sending codes to the disconnected number.Direct messaging to the support handle on this forum is currently not submitting on my end.Could an official Meta Community Moderator please send me a Private Message so I can share my account email, headset serial, and complete identity verification privately?Thank you,Christopher
Folks: Several weeks ago, I noticed my Meta Quest 3's "charging" light was orange instead of its usual green. When I turned it on, it was only 73% charged. My research into the problem mentioned that Meta had pushed a "buggy" firmware update that was causing the incomplete charging. I tried all of the "fixes" mentioned in my research, but nothing worked.Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, what did you do to resolve it?Thanks for your help!
The latest Quest 3 system has a backlight flickering issue when charging with the original charger while the device is powered off. This issue was first reported on forums after the v74 system update. After investigation, it was found that first, the issue does not occur when using non-original chargers. Second, the flickering frequency decreases as the battery level increases: it flickers about every 30 seconds when the battery is around 20-40%, increases to about every minute when the battery is 60-70%, and most likely stops completely when the battery is above 90%. It is preliminarily judged that this issue may be a system-level bug where the charging protocol negotiation with the original charger accidentally triggers the screen backlight controller. The temporary solution provided by customer service is to charge the device in sleep mode by short-pressing the power button, which has been tested and indeed no longer causes the issue. They explained that the system has more sta
