Solved

I've seen examples of worlds that allow a first-person view on mobile, however, I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to do this. Can someone enlighten me or point me to the documentation for this?

I am able to create SceneObject's that end up being contained within a specific entity as followsval fooObject = SceneObject(scene, fooMesh, "foo", entity = fooEntity)I am able to call setPosition(), setRotationQuat(), and setScale() on fooObject and get the desired effect. When I try to set these transforms on fooEntity only the Transform component works  but fooScale is ignored:fooEntity?.setComponent(Scale(fooScale))            // seemingly ignoredfooEntity?.setComponent(Transform(fooPose))  // worksIf I replace setting the Scale component and directly set the scale on the SceneObject this works:fooObject?.setScale(fooScale)This work around is fine as long as stick with only uniform scales and compose the transformations by hand. But I have use cases where I have a hierarchy of transformations that do not have uniform scales. Is there some other ingredient I need for the Scale component to work? It obviously works with Entities containing other

Really like the idea of the challenges, maybe we could pin the current ones running and also mention in the subject that this is ongoing and once done change it to closed. Will help keep a track after we have a bunch of them.SeeingBlue

Good Day Meta Team,Now that Meta is opening CMI to the general public, would you please confirm that members of the MHCP can now freely share CMI, without restriction, to all Meta Horizon users, whether MHCP or not?Confirming since we are all still under NDA.Thanks.

Hello everyone. I don't know if it makes sense to write here. According to the forum, no. But I'll try. Guys, I need some help. I'm trying to create a launcher for personal use. Theoretically, it's just a three-dimensional space. Which has a video player, a button, and a timer. That's all! How it should work. I press the button. The timer starts and the installed application opens. The timer ends and the open application closes. This brings us back to my application. I've tried different versions of the code. But that's all I've been able to achieve. This is done in order to open another application. If someone has succeeded. Let me know. I'll leave the code to open the app here. Maybe someone will need it. using UnityEngine; public class Cat : MonoBehaviour{    public string targetAppPackageName = "!!!your package name!!!";     public void OnButtonPressed()    {        if (Application.isMobilePlatform)  &n

Hi Everyone,I'm currently developing an AR game for the Meta Quest 3, and I’m encountering a rendering issue when using PC VR with passthrough. The problem seems to be related to the passthrough feature because my virtual hands are displayed correctly. When I build for Android, everything works fine, but when I build for PC or run the game in the Unity Editor, I experience this rendering issue. I’ve tested three different versions of Unity and multiple versions of the all-in-one Meta SDK, but the issue persists.I also tested the project on another computer with an RTX 4070, and it worked perfectly in both the build and the editor. Based on this, I assume the problem is related to the graphics card on my main computer, which has a 7900 XT.Has anyone else experienced this rendering issue or have any tips to help resolve it? Thanks in advance for your help!

I've been trying to set up new meta avatars for a multiplayer application using the latest version available (Meta Avatars SDK 31.0.0) using the "Auto Marchmaking" and "Networked Avatar" buildingblocks using Photon Fusion but when I try it, no avatar is loaded. "Networked Avatar" has two objects, AvatarSDK and LipSyncInput, but in AvatarSDK where the "EntityInputManager" script should appear, the script is not recognized, something similar happens with LipSyncInput where the "LipSyncMicInput" script is not recognized.    When running my scene, Unity shows me the following alerts: -The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object 'AvatarSDK') is missing!-The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object 'LipSyncInput') is missing!  To try to isolate the problem, I'm running a new clean Unity project with only Meta Avatars SDK and Photon Fusion.Meta Avatars SDK is installed with the following dependencies:-Meta Avatars SDK Sample Assets (31.

Are Ui components of Meta Horizon OS available on any package while using Spatial SDK?i know they are now available in Unity.

Hi everyone,I am working on a Unity project that uses Text-to-Speech (TTS). The Meta TTS feature works perfectly in the Unity Editor, but when I build and run the project on Windows, it does not function as expected. I have also checked for any errors in the Player logs, but nothing specific stands out.Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions on what might be causing TTS to fail in the Windows build? Thanks in advance for your help! hvox1138

Dear Meta Team,I’d like to suggest a trade-in program for Quest 2 users looking to upgrade to the Quest 3. Many of us have invested in the Quest ecosystem and would love an affordable way to transition to the latest hardware. A trade-in option directly through Meta could incentivize more users to upgrade while keeping them engaged in your platform. Some potential benefits:Encourages Quest 2 owners to stay within the Meta VR ecosystem.Provides an eco-friendly way to recycle older headsets.Makes upgrading more financially accessible. Are there any plans for such a program? I think this would be a win-win for both Meta and the community.

Hello, I updated to v74 this evening and ever since, my meta quest has been stuttering really bad. I'm using virtual desktop, I have a ryzen 7 4800x3d, RTX 7900 xtx and 32 GB of RAM. Even when I tried to play Golf+, it was stuttering noticably as well.

I have a "Boot" scene as a Buildin resource and a "SampleScene" scene as an Addressable resource. When I build it as a meta Android app and run it, the "Boot" scene is loaded by default. Then, in Start, the "SampleScene" scene is loaded using Addressable (LoadSceneMode.Single). However, when I use the Profiler analysis tool to check the number of triangles being rendered, I find that occlusion culling is completely ineffective. But this is normal in the Unity Editor (including when loading with Use Existing Build) and android phone. There is a problem on the Unity forum about Occlusion Culling not working. The solution provided is to reset the ActiveScene in the frame after loading the scene, but this does not work on Meta devices. Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Or are there any possible solutions to try?

Given an array of vertices, normals, texture coordinates, and a triangle index list, how do I create a mesh that that I can load into an ECS Entity?

I want to throw objects in MR with hand tracking, but am unable to do so. I use the building blocks to add everything into place, but when I release an object it simply drops straight down. I already checked if all the components from the guide (https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/unity/unity-isdk-throw-object/) are in place, and this should be set up. Any tips are appreciated

Wondering if there is a way to assign a video source as a texture to an object that has been added to the scene either through the Meta Spatial Editor or imported as GLTF/GLB at runtime?

I am working on a mixed reality game and using the MRUK to load scene data. "Load scene from device async" doesn't seem to work. Before using the MRUK, I used the OculusXrSceneActor, which worked wonderfully, but now im kind of lost. Now, using the "Spawn interior" function, it does work -- but only for my collegue. I'm not sure what is happening, could use any clue as to what is happening. For some extra info: we check for permissions and launch the capture flow (which another post said could help fix issues with "missing" scene data)

The battery life sucks, just bought today & even fully charged was lucky to get 2 hours on this machine ggggrrrrrrrr

Hi,Posted this earlier in the general Forum and discovered this may be a better place for help.I'm attempting to Upload a build to my Alpha Channel via the Meta Quest Developer Hub but it keeps failing.Below is the Error message:Error: An unexpected error occurred{"cliErrorType":"UNEXPECTED_ERROR","cliErrorMessage":"File or directory 'D:\\**\\' was not included into executable at compilation stage. Please recompile adding it as asset or script."I'm assuming this means I need to add the Directory and or filepath to the assets within my Unity Project but I'm not finding much in the way of how to actually do so. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas of how to do so or if you've encountered this error and found a solution.Below is a screenshot of the error message.   The App is developed for PC and the build is for the Rift S. Once this is all good I plan on making a Quest Build as well.Best regards,

Hej. when i updated to version 64.under system settings and under display. I can no longer enable or see the 120 hz option any more. can somone help me 🙂

I have had this issue trying to pair both of my Quest 2's for the last 4 days. When you click 'try again' it just loops back to this screen.I have tried reinstalling the app (including updating the app), using an IOS phone and using an Android phone, I have even factory reset one of the devices. Still get the below message when I try to pair this device to any phone.  Any ideas on how to fix this? Cheers

I REALLY, TRULY don't have patience for this!! I get so angry when garbage I paid big money for doesn't work and I have to start wasting my precious time, looking for solutions, rather than enjoying what I paid for!First it's the:"Your computer doesn't meet the updated minimum specifications..."Now in the headset:"Couldn't Launch Quest LinkQuest Link can not be launched because your headset and Oculus PC app are not compatible. Please update them to the latest software version, then try again."The problem with the above sentence is that it doesn't take into account , that this is a BRAND NEW LAPTOP WITH BRAND NEW INSTALL OF THE OCULUS APP!!!!EVERYTHING is first time, freshly installed!!!!! I mean this is infuriating!!!! Prior to download Steam and Oculus app, everything was updated, latest NVidia drivers download then whatever is on the main page of Oculus/Meta and Steam has been downloaded and installed. If I have installed something old, then it's on YOU, because I downloaded off

Hey y'all,I'm having an issue where no matter what I do, the triggers on my oculus touch controllers will not fire a signal (except for animations for some reason.) I've tried switching IMC's, deleting and remaking the IA's, adding the enable input node using the showdebug enhancedinput command (which I don't think showed anything,) and more.. I did install the newly updated MetaXR plugin, but there's nothing else I can think of that would be responsible for this, and it being Meta's own plugin causing this seems unlikely. Has anyone had similar issues? I'm close to deleting what I have and just starting over. Has anyone had any similar problems?

HI, My idea is to connect my Quest 2 with a cable and quest link, use my desktop web browser to watch Youtube vr videos. No matter what format they are, I always get the flat video. No 3d immersion whatsoever. What I need to do to watch those videos in full immersive vr (not a projection to a screen in front ?

Hello I've an app in 2d mode, I want to resize dynamically based on content resolution. How can i achieve this?
