When my son tries to log into UG on meta quest 2 he keeps getting the message 'retrying authentication'. He can't get past this. Any help appreciated?
When a controller is connected to my PC while using (wired) Oculus Link and I am viewing my monitors from within the headset, there will be a dot on the screen that follows my head movements. If I press 'A' on my Xbox Elite 2 Controller, it will act as if I left-clicked where that dot is, 'B' brings up the In-Headset keyboard context menu, left-trigger moves my in headset window, and right-trigger seems to snap my cursor back to the dot. The thing is, I don't want my controller interacting with my headset at all. I want to use my headset, with my computer viewing my monitors in headset and play a game with my controller without those inputs that were meant for the game, also interact with the headset. Another example is that if I'm playing something like Elite Dangerous, which is (very!) VR capable, but needs more input capability like the mouse and keyboard or bunches and bunches of mapped buttons on a controller. To be honest, the controller is easier for games like Eli
Hi, we’ve received emails stating our child needs to manage his own account, but they don’t offer any insight on how to switch things over. Every time I click the link they sent it’s a broken page. Now it’s the end of the warnings and my son “can’t use meta horizon”, because he’s not managing his own account. Does anyone know how to do this??
My right controller works just fine and turns on and everything but my left hand controller won't turn on or connect to my headset at all. I even put new batteries in.
We bought a vr off a friend, they did a factory reset on it. Step son tried to set it up today and says the right controller doesnt move on the screen. We have followed all of the advice on Google about batteries, pairing/repairing and resetting the headset again. Not drifting! None have work. Has anyone experienced this and been able to fix it?
Hey everyone, I'm having a really weird Quest 3 PCVR issue and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. System: - Meta Quest 3- Lenovo Legion 7i- RTX 5060 Laptop GPU- Windows 11 25H2 Problem:Every PCVR method eventually freezes: - Meta Link (USB)- Air Link- Steam Link- Virtual Desktop It happens in every VR app I've tried, including SteamVR Home, BONELAB, and SpaceEngine. Symptoms: - The headset suddenly freezes on the last frame.- If I move my head, I sometimes see weird black/abstract stretched patterns around the frozen image.- The game is STILL running perfectly on my PC monitor.- SteamVR still says the game is running.- Meta Horizon Link still says the headset is active.- GPU 3D usage stays active, but Video Encode drops to 0%.- "vrserver.exe", "vrcompositor.exe", and "OVRServer_x64.exe" are all still running.- The headset never recovers by itself and stays frozen until I restart the VR session. What's weird is that flat-sc
I've plugged the Quest 3 into every charger I have and it won't charge. I have the elite strap and have removed this and still nothing. No green light or flashing amber light. It won't even turn on.
I bought the pro controllers for my son for his Oculus 3, and its still not updating the controllers. There holding steady at 0% for a day and a half. I could understand if this was an off brand controller from a different company, but these controllers are from your company, which are supposed to pair and update with your VR headset. I seen tons of topics on the same issue. If i can shell out a couple hundred dollars for your controllers, as least you can do is make sure your IT team has a solid product leaving the warehouse. I looked everywhere, and i did everything from factory resetting the head set and controllers to deleting and re downloading the app to make sure the current app version is being used. This issue has been going on for over a year, why isnt there a firmware fix?? Im about to return these bricked controllers.
Quest3 stops charging at 74% and headset is warm but then I charge it in my refrig it goes to 100% in 1 hour. At V2.4.1034 Build 5216847.4360.520, installed June 2, 2026. No updates pending. This charging problem started sometime in the last few months, and I finally decided to investigate it. When the battery is discharged to about 28%, it charges normally to around 70% in about 3 hours, then slows dramatically and appears to stop around 74%, even after another 12+ hours connected directly to an Anker 45W charger. I have performed extensive troubleshooting, including: -Charging directly from a 45W USB-C PD charger -Charging through the Meta dock using the same 45W charger -Testing multiple USB-C cables -Disconnecting all accessories, including the battery strap -Collecting ADB diagnostics and battery/power dumps -Generating and submitting bugreports to Meta -Turning off automatic power-on for updates -Turning off cloud backup
Hello!Decided to hop back into my Quest 1 after resetting it and found that my old favorite game, Dreadhalls, can no longer be found in the library. Searching some settings like the notifications settings will show options for it, but other than that I cannot find it. Looking on the store it will appear but the option to install or launch doesn’t appear and is replaced with an infinitely loading circle. The game appears installed on the Meta Horizon app, but attempting to launch it or uninstall it does not appear to change anything on the headset itself. I would appreciate any suggestions, I’m new to the forum!
So today is my birthday and I was wondering if Meta offers any sort of Birthday gift? I'd assume not since most don't but how awesome would it be if you woke up with an email from Meta saying "Happy Birthday! We've added £XX amount of funds to your credit!" or even giving you something like a 50% discount code to use which lasts for the month.
Hi everyone, as you’ve probably all noticed, mobile and VR headset are now separated. That sucks pretty much if you have friends on mobile and VR headset in Meta Horizon. I don’t know what you guys think about it, but it really sucks for everyone. That’s why I want to urge you all to go complain to Meta. So that hopefully they will reverse it all. The more complaints, the better. Thanks in advance, Han
UPDATE since my post wasnt getting much attention. So after everything I have tried and other attempts on youtube didnt work I have decided to factory reset. Which did not work but instead caused a whole other issue. When I press Boot on the boot menu or power off and power on I am always brought back to the meta boot menu no matter what. It takes just about 1-2 seconds and I am back on the boot menu. I tried factory reseting again and I am still brought back.Is it just fully bricked? I haven't really done much but the performance on the Q2 is really lacking and odd since the worlds update and the new UI and whatnot has been released.
so i just bought mt quest 3 and when it was downloading the software update it would just go in a restarting loop i left it alone for an hour its still isnt fixed can anyone help me please ?
I bought the meta quest 3s from amazon in December for my sons Christmas, however it has really bad stick drift now and dont know who to contact for support? It would still be under warranty so if anyone can point me in the right direction or offer support I would greatly appreciate this. Thank you
I've gone everywhere else, meta support, reddit, discord servers and I don't know why I can't connect to meta quest link with my quest 2 no matter what I've tried.I've bought this expensive usb 3 5gbps c cable for my meta quest 2, that worked for like a month, then something broke, and now no matter what I do, the meta Horizon app completely refuses to let me use a cable to connect to my quest.Meta support has been completely unhelpful and I'm looking for some real support. The issue I'm experiencing has varied outcomes but all don't let me connect to my quest.1:The quest allows me to connect, quest link is detected on both sides, and brings up on my quest 2 the popup that allows me to connect with pc-vr. When I click enable, the environment seems to start loading, but then just stays forever in the quest app opening screen.2: As soon as I press enable the meta horizon link on my pc crashes immediatly, and reopens immediately, then when I try to connect to my pc again, it detects the co
I am experiencing a severe issue where my Right Quest Pro Controller completely refuses to pair. Through various troubleshooting methods, I managed to bypass the initial 5-digit code screen and successfully connected the headset to the Meta Horizon app. However, the controller pairing still fails. There is absolutely zero physical damage to the controller or headset. This happened after an official firmware update bug. Here are the detailed symptoms and the exhaustive list of troubleshooting steps I have already performed: 1. The Symptoms The controller LED endlessly loops: White (standby) → Blue → Green → Blue. When attempting a firmware update, it flashes Purple/White but abruptly crashes and returns to White. Hardware vibration works, indicating a software-level block. 2. Basic & Hardware Resets (Failed) App pairing results in a Timeout error. Manual pairing (Meta + B) vibrates but fails to connect. 15-second hard reset (until Amber light) &
I updated my quest over night and was shocked my virtual environments all are missing. Is there a way back? I don’t like the new ones especially in the foreground as they are not realistic, they don’t blend in, design from foreground to background is not aligned. Sadly it’s not a quality update. I miss my original home environment, the dome - that was my first introduction to VR and I dearly miss it!I miss my winter lodge, my balloons, my Japanese home, my space station, my very cyber punk futuristic apartment, my hobbit cave, my mountain campfire, my forest lodge …Depending on the mood you could change them, now I feel a bit lost with the low quality environments (especially in the foreground) and my old themes missing. I would have never updated had I know the environments will be gone. Is there a way back? A hidden menu? Are there plans to integrate the old environments?
My finger isn't recognized when I place it on that partof the controller, which can be annoying for games like VRChat where I constantly make a peace sign because of this bug. I have a Meta Quest 3S and it's only the right controller that does this. I've already tried resetting it, but that didn't work. Can someone tell me how to fix it? (I'm sorry if it's a bit confusing i'm ESL)
Why?Currently achievements on meta quest are almost meaningless while even having a designated app almost nobody uses called "scoreboards". I was thinking achievements should get revamped and heres how. How?For users: achievements should be displayed on the control panel and notification panel with a new app introduced named "Achievements"Achievements should have tiers like playstation and xbox.Tiers going 1 (worst) and to 4 (best)Bronze - minor achievementsSilver - normal achievements Gold - challenging achievements Platinum - extremely hard achievements (All with complete different sounds for each tier, with platinum being the "best sounding" tier.)For developers: add tools for developers to add tiers for specific achievements.
As soon as i start any game or sometimes i dont do anything exept being in the Desktop thingi it just freezes. When i plug the cable out it doesent want to reconect only if i Restart the pc and the headset. When i want to Deinstall or Repair it with the Meta horizon link setup it just says Failed to start processIve tried making another User but this worked for mabey 30minutes and now i am back to being unable to play
My sons account is tied only to gmail account, we are locked out due to 2FA requesting a sms code sent to old number we no longer have access to, we confirmed via email successfully but then requires a second code to said old number which we cant recieve. add new number directly to headset but in settings in headset will not let me delete old number even though thats an option the button does nothing. Could someone from the support team helps us either manually remove the old number from account or temporarily disable 2FA so we can complete recovery using new number. happy to provide account details via PM.
All my sons games were showing locked and when I would cast to see what he was seeing it only would show black boxes. After doing some research it said to do a factory reset. So that is what I did. We got the headset paired but then we got to the controller pairing screen where it shows to remove the pull tags on the controllers. We don’t have the pull tabs anymore as we have already pulled them when we first sat up the headset. I saw a post on here to let the screen sit for 5-10 minutes then it would go to the next screen. After 10 minutes it was still on the pairing controller screen with the pull tabs. I even took out the batteries and put them back in. Right now his left controller is the only controller that works. We are in the process of getting him a new right controller. How can we get past this screen so he can play again. He is very not happy with me right now. Lol (Even though he was all for doing the reset to play, but we didn’t know this issue was going to arise) any help
I am trying to play some of my games using the Meta/Oculus Horizon Link. I have had a Link Cable for a lot of years and the software has given me issues here and there yet nothing massive. Recently I have run into a massive problem.Whenever I begin to play my games, my headset will freeze with a still frame as my vision. This happens a minute or two have passed by. I can still hear the in game audio. When I look to my pc to see if it's the same thing as my headset, it shows that I am completely fine. My hands and headset are still being tracked and I can still interact with the vr world itself.I am all up to date on my drivers and windows updates as well as the Meta/Oculus Software itself. I am completely lost as to what is happening and how to fix it myself. If someone can help me, then I would be grateful.
This Quest 2 was purchased second-hand and has been used normally with a personal Meta account. After a factory reset, the device now says it is managed by an organization and redirects to work.meta.com/device. Neither the previous owner nor the current owner enrolled the device in any organization. Somebody can help with that?
